With so many Duke starters leaving in the transfer portal before this game, using a backup QB, and Ole Miss QB making the rare decision to play despite his high draft stock and also having players out, made this a one sided matchup that didn't really reflect how the teams looked in the regular season. It's a shame that the fans didn't get the game they should've after being invested all season.

Ole Miss & Lane Kiffin might have just wasted the most talented rosters they’ve ever had in the history of the program. I don’t remember the last time they finished top 25 in both offense and defense. the UK loss is inexcusable. the LSU loss was a rivalry game heartbreaker. the Florida loss was Dart had a very bad game at the wrong time. in the LSU and Florida game, the common denominator was Kiffin being too aggressive by going for it instead of taking the points. there was some costly penalties to go along the way as well. even though the SEC has 0 creditability right now, Florida is a better team than people think with DJ Lagway at the helm.

Dart is by far the most underrated qb in the country. He's the 7th ranked qb, below guys like milroe, ewers, and beck despite being so clearly better than them. Can't wait for him to prove everyone wrong in the NFL.

I just love these bowl match-ups. I watched Duke all season, and hoped they could be a contender in the ACC. I thought they did very well, but not quite there yet. Tracking the bowl game wins and loses, It doesn't seem as though the ACC was as competitive as I believed they would be. I'm a long-time UGA fan, and I knew they were up against a loaded ND team... congrats to ND. We will "re-load" and try again next year. It was nice to come here and see Ole Miss win. Living my retirement in Europe, and after my family and friends - it's college football that I miss the most. I have to think they will continue to tinker with this playoff nonsense, but they may never get it right. The state of current college football (transfer portals/nil...etc) has ruined the way it should be played. The opt-out is an embarrassment. These kids continue to get groomed for "One -Hundred Yard Hollywood"... the NFL. I am almost ready to stop following because of the all the posturing, the stupid attitudes, and the way these kids are molly-coddled. I played and coached football, and we were truly "old-school". Not the "Coach Prime old-school"... the Lombardi old-school. "Shut your pie-hole and play the game". We were happy to be able to go to college and get an education, plus all the extras - housing, meals...etc. It is very typical of our times... money. How does a college kid afford a $50,000 auto?!? As an Ole Miss fan it was sad to see us not make the CFP. Personally, I thought we deserved it over SMU, this game is further proof of that as we crushed a team that they should have lost to. We crushed UGA and SC along with beating an Oklahoma team which crushed Alabama and a UArk team who beat UT. We did lose to Kentucky, who lost to UGA by one point along with LSU who is tough at home. The only bad result was Florida. IMO with our schedule Duke would go 5-7 or 6-6, bear in mind they were on the brink against a Wake team who we beat 40-6.

Dart was the best quarterback I have seen all bowl season. USC really screwed up with their F@#$ the Mormons chants, and Ole Miss was really lucky to get him when he left. How he wasn't in the Heisman conversation is mind boggling. Best of luck going forward, Dart. And thank you for reminding us how it is done.

Poor showings against Kentucky and Florida. That Florida performance really broke their backs. I agree, in the sense that he could have really had an opportunity to showcase his abilities, as well as others on that team, in the playoffs.

Ya Jaxson Dart was heavily recruited and spent his redshirt season at Southern Cal. Then Caleb Williams transferred in and he saw the writing on the wall and transferred out. Sorry we lost him but wish him the best and he made the right choice. He’s a load of talent.

Dart Fan here been following him out of HS in Utah to USC, to Ole’Miss …. Still pissed they didn’t make the playoffs, I had 100 on them winning it all 😤…. I want my Bucs to draft him but Baker has grown on me and it would be a waste to have him sitting. He’s such a clutch QB, I’m definitely following him into the NFL (as long as he doesn’t go to a division rival 😅)

That's just it, somewhere he can play right away, but not get hurt! Lot of knuckleheads on here saying Giants or Panthers etc... They'd get him killed! Look at poor Trevor; and he's half again bigger than Jaxon! I'd love the Seahawks to get him, maybe they could save some $ fire Geno & spend the diff building the Offensive Line? Probably best fit for him now though would be the Browns.
