I didn't have a dog in this fight, but after the Pitt bench got up in Klubnik's face, I was glad to see him run for that TD. Some might think I'm crazy for pointing that out, but that could lead to some unintended consequences down the road if the refs don't stamp that out. The Oklahoma St. QB got USLC penalty for pointing his finger like a gun at the opponents' bench, come on!

They play Citadel and SC. SC is really the only challenge they have left unless they make the ACC title game. I think if they win their last two games regardless they’ll be discussed but ultimately be left out. They just don’t look good against quality competition.

ya know why the Cade play at the end worked? Because it was improvised. In these big games, its like Dabo takes the play calling from everyone else and runs basic white B offense. When Garret Riley calls plays, we look competitive and fun. When Dabo takes over, it is blatantly obvious and he calls it to not lose

Normally I'm the guy pointing out the obvious SEC and Big 10 bias in cfb rankings - Texas, Indiana, and Penn State (zero ranked wins) have done nothing to indicate they're anywhere near as good as BYU, SMU, and even Miami (and that's saying something). That said, this game is pretty telling for Pitt. They lost to a team that Georgia basically slaughtered. A Clemson team that, until now, had beaten absolutely no one.

Teams can’t control who they play or how those teams perform after they play them. I agree that there is brand bias to a degree in the rankings but a simple look at recruiting and NIL proves those teams on paper are superior.

If I had a dime for every team that lost to an inferior opponent "on paper," I'd be a wealthy man. The only way to measure how good a team is is through on-field results, both for them and their opponents. Things like funds, facilities, recruiting are a measure of how good a program is, but not necessarily how good a team is any given year.
