My Clemson team has some obvious weaknesses. TLaw does not yet instinctively feel a rush the way he needs to, which leads to sacks. The Clemson OL does not protect the pocket at an elite level. The secondary has at times looked vulnerable, but that has looked better lately. That being said, all of these weaknesses also exist for Alabama. Comparing Clemson and Alabama, Clemson has a slightly better defense, and Alabama has a slightly better offense. Which one will carry the day remains to be seen, but I think it will be a very close game...if both teams windup in the NC game.

I have seen the play that injured Anthony Brown numerous times. It was not a bad hit as some suggested and happened just a millisecond after Anthony Brown unloaded the ball. It was just a routine tackle, but Christian Wilkins is a very big man and his entire weight fell on him. The suggestion that some fans have made that it was intended to injure the kid is ridiculous. I also saw some suggest that Trevor Lawrence injury in the Syracuse game was meant to injure him. That too is equally ridiculous. The purpose of hard tackles is at times to disrupt the quarterback by causing him to fear the rush which might lead to mistakes. Any decent quarterback will pick the opposition's defense apart if he is allowed to be too comfortable in the pocket. I hate the kid got hurt, but that is football. I have seen on mostly other message boards where someone was crying about the hit. I think they should just start watching poker or bowling, because football is obviously not their cup of tea.
