Cleveland Browns announce plans to build new stadium in Brook Park

Look, the city had years, i would even say DECADES, to do something about that stadium!! Massive renovation(not the band-aid ones that they did on the cheap), build a dome on the lakefront or near it, whatever!! They had plenty of opportunities to keep the team downtown, and they blew it!! Personally, as long as the team is still in Northeast Ohio, i can't wait to see this new stadium get built!! Because for as much as it costs now to go to a game(tickets, parking, concessions, etc.), i want to be COMFORTABLE as well as entertained!!

What's weird is that since coming back to the NFL in 1999, the Browns haven't hosted 1 playoff game. Only 3 playoff appearances but no home playoff games. Sad.

Cleveland needs a dome it is too cold and snowy in the winter. I'm from Columbus and I am a pats fan, but this brook park dome looks very beautiful so I might catch a game there when it is completed.

I’ve been a huge supporter of the team and the ownership. But this straw has broken this camels back. It’s a slap in the face of the city,fans and sinners who payed for the current stadium. This move coupled with the apparent early quitting of the coaches, and team. Strip the team of their Name and colors, file a lawsuit if needed. Some of the current plans to utilize the current lakefront facility are goofy. Talk about converting it to a LaBron James museum. Also, plans to convert it to a super sized ,Dary Queen. The classic ,an idea to make , and name the facility the ,"SUPER BOWL FLEA MARKET". Selling used clothing, and second hand items out of a $1Billion facility.. Another Cleveland Ohio SAPFU . Gee maybe a .10c cent beer night might be an idea.

If I was the city of Cleveland I would use that that stadium for the USFL for spring football or readjust or confirgurate the stadium and put a CFL fransize for the season since the CFL only have 9 teams to make it a even 10. They play their games on Fridays, Saturdays too it won't interfere with the Browns season.

Who cares? Browns fan for life... they're trash. Tank the next three years. Build Brookpark stadium. New house. Brand new players. Start fresh in 2027... only thing is my entire working career will go before this team is not a dumpster fire. Here's hoping my grandchildren's children get to see something that isn't a complete embarrassment. So its like an extra 15 minute drive. Existing stadium and location is wash.

Fans are so stupid. I don't see how it's a bad thing. It's a brand new beautiful dome with brand new restaurants, hotels, easier access to parking, etc. And we won't pay a dime - that's already been made clear. We will also host the SuperBowl, most likely, and other great events.

I’ve been to Browns games, against the Chargers, bills, dolphins, and commanders.. I can assure you when I traveled to those cities, I spent plenty of money in the downtown/city core. The mayor needs to develop the lake so it can be used year-round, not for 8-10 games a year.

If all those involved in the Brook Park deal have done that part then it's a wrap... Moreover, I would think that the Model rule does not apply. Griffin knows getting damn well the renovation to that piece of s*** that currently play in does not compare to the renderings of that new dome. There’s always gonna be disappointed fans/ ppl in cases like this. Business owners will be affected by this no doubt however we aren’t the only NFL franchise that has done this. If anything some businesses will probably move to Brooke Park as well to not only keep their business but to adapt w. the process. Nothing is final yet. I wish we could keep the Browns in Cleveland but we also know that if we stay at the Lake Front that we won’t get a dome and yes to many it’s a field advantage but the majority of conversations from fans and residents, a dome is necessary. To many things have changed over the years and weather/ safety has been a concern especially after Covid broke out. Ppl want to be safe and out of harms way for those late season games. I’ve been at those games and it gets dangerously brutal in the cold and more. The traffic and accessibility in and out of the stadium is extremely bad. The business aspect of it is what will be impacted most. Some will recover, others not so much but new business will also come along w. it. It’s a win/ win, lose/ lose situation. I’m happy to see the Browns get a new stadium w. a dome that they also will have proper time to build right. I don’t like leaving the lake front but there’s also just not enough room to evolve/ renovate the current stadium. There’s not enough parking and accessibility hands down. Regardless of the final decision, this will all eventually quiet down. I will miss true tradition and energy that we’ve had for the past 25 years but change is always expected. Either way… Go Browns For Life.

Well them build them a dome downtown. If want to keep them. Get off that old municipal grave yard lot . It hasn't worked since 1964. There where no renovations to be seen from the current stadium. I welcome Haslam and the NFL to nock down the old crew stadium and build a dome there in Columbus. REMEMBER Haslams own the crew. Columbus Bull dogs. Fine with me and been a browns fan since 1962.
