Cleveland Browns vs Carolina Panthers NFL Week 1 Preview with Big Katt from Panthers Uncensored

Browns Panthers 2022 NFL Week 1 Preview. Today I'm joined by the one and only Big Katt from ‪@BigKatt‬ and ‪@ADiff3r3ntWeightLoss‬ to talk about the NFL Week 1 matchup between the #clevelandbrowns and the #carolinapanthers. The #Browns have their work cut out for them against this improved Panthers squad which will be played in Carolina. Big Katt walks us through how he sees the Panthers Offense looks with newly traded for Quarterback, and Ex-Cleveland Brown, Baker Mayfield. He'll be matched up with a healthy Christian McCaffrey at running back which will likely make or break the success of the Panthers offense. Mayfield and McCaffrey must gel in order to get the ball moving for Carolina against the Cleveland Browns.

Browns vs Panthers Preview Week 1
The Patheres are going to be up against some of the best defensive players in the league on the other side of the ball. The Browns will be running a healthy Myles Garrett and Jadaveon Clowney at Baker Mayfield all day. Baker has shown he has escapability in the pocket, but he also often gets flustered and tries to move when the pressure is on. Myles and Jadaveon know this better than anyone else having played with Baker in Cleveland for many years. Joe Woods will be dialing up plenty of pressure on Baker all day, forcing him to make bad decisions and hopefully turning the ball over. Big Katt predicts that Baker Mayfield will throw a pick 6 to the Browns secondary in this game based on the amount of pressure he'll be under all day.
Over on the defensive side of the ball the Panters also aren't a team to be underestimated. They have a variety of returning starters and have made some key improvements along the way. The Browns offense will be up against a difficult defense who is used to also putting pressure on opposing quarterbacks. The Browns will be running with Jacoby Brissett this week, the first of 11 games that future starter Deshaun Watson will be sitting out with his suspension. Jacoby has always been a solid game manager throughout his career, making his mark by not turning over the ball and relying heavily on his weapons to make good things happen on offense and score points.
The Browns will have both Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt being issued the ball in healthy doses here in Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers. Look for the 1-2 punch of Chubb and Hunt to be active in both to running and passing game. Browns Head Coach Kevin Stefanski will have to find creative ways to get his playmakers the ball, whether that's with direct hand offs, or little screen passes with open fields ahead of them. It's very important that the Browns get their star runnign backs heavily invovled in this game early in order to not only set the pace, but take pressure away from Jacoby Brissett from having to force the ball down the field in 3rd and long situations.
The Browns will also be featuring newly signed free agent Amari Cooper in the passing game for the first time in the regular season. Cooper was held out most of the preseason this year to ensure there would be no injuries as they work their way towards Week 1 agains the Panthers. Brissett will also have Rookie David Bell from Purdue and the return of second year pro Donovan Peoples-Jones as receiver options along with Amari Cooper.
The Panthers will be struggling on the special teams side of the ball this year having lost kicker Zane Gonzolez to injury. They brought in veteran Eddy Pineiro on a 1 year deal just to ensure they have someone who can kick the ball this season. Pineiro has spent time with the Colts, Washington Football Team, Jets and Bears in the past and definitely has NFL kicking experiene. He could be a liability in this game which, being that everyone expects it to be close, could be the difference maker if the game comes down to a point or two.

Jacoby is not throwing on panthers 2ndary, facts! Ickey will have a hand full with Garrett, more than likely he will win some of his matches, and eventually Ickey will hold it down, Burns and Gross-Matos will be getting to Brissett. Dj Moore is a stud, y’all sleeping on him, he’s beaten the best corner, so D. Ward is nothing to him, plus Taylor moton will take care of Clowney, Moton is panthers best RT.

If the Browns are relying on the pass game, theve already lost. You'll have to stop Chubb and Hunt. Garrett on a rookie LT in his first game. Still have to contend with Clowney and maybe even Wright. The Browns field one of the best, deepest olines in the league. They'll be fine. Browns have one of the best back 7's in the league. Its not just Ward. I doubt they even double Moore on a lot of occasions. The Browns have the horses to easily neutralize Moore. JOK / Delpit match up well against CMC (if he isnt hurt on the first drive) CMC or the TE is gonna waste a lot of time chipping Garrett and hurting their effectiveness in the pass game Browns match up well. Baker better hope that "chip" will help him make post snap reads. Otherwise, its gonna be a long day for him.

Panthers fans are in the same denial as us Browns fans were. Baker’s “injection of energy” as he put it is only amazing when you win. When you are losing, Baker comes off as petty and childish. And worst of all, he eventually blames the coaches, and creates a toxic environment. I hope panthers all the success, but you start losing, you’ll understand.

Would like to see you fight back on his takes a bit more, but a good convo;). 1. trying to compare browns OL to the mishmash OL the Panther got is a bit of a reach even tho we are missing some pieces. As long as conklin plays we will be elite, and its a good chance je does play. 2. browns secoundary is 1 of if not THE best in the nfl. Ward and Newsome are not afraid of Moore and Anderson.. stop with that.. 3. it looks like its going to be a rainstorm when we play.. if baker wants to air it out i woundnt mind it 1 bit.
