Great content! I have a CBX Zipcore in 54, and a CBX Full Face 2 in 58. Only times I ever open up the face is out of bunkers and the CBXs make that part of the game so much easier! Thanks for the video!

Nice comparison, MSH! I'm low single digits and I love the 52° CBX wedge. Really consistent distances on full shots - you get away with mishits as long as they're not terrible. I play 52° around the greens a lot, but I don't open the face up that much, so it's perfect for me. Someone who really likes to lay the face open a lot may find some shots can't really be done with it too well - tight lies and bunkers with less sand. Even on the more aggressive grind of the CBX 58° with more heel and toe relief, the sole just wants to lift the leading edge up off the ground when you open it up. I go from the 52° CBX to a bladed 58° wedge with lower bounce, so I'm covered for those.

Great video Sir👍🏻I’m a CBX player, I have the CBX2 in 48 degrees, the CBX Zipcore in 52 degrees and the CBX1 in 56 & 60 degrees. I compared my CBX Zipcore 52 to a Vokey 52 and the difference in forgiveness was amazing. Obviously the Vokeys are fantastic wedges but not for me at my level of play. Looking forward to the rest of your ‘Wedge Week’!

I have a 52 cbx from 2019 it is great for sand and thick wet rough. Chip in a lot with it. Tried to go back to a more traditional wedge and started digging and scolding balls across greens. No issues opening the face and hitting flops. Dont play as often as I used to handicap is around 13.

Played the CBX, original for awhile. Only real problem was bunker shots and where you want to open the face up. Found out the club is mostly designed to keep it square and let that sole do the work. If getting out of bunkers is your goal, this is the club for you. If you are trying to land it at a spot with a little bite, the RTX is for you, which I changed to. Good winter stuff. Keep them coming

I recall another video you did on these which was really useful, just like this one so thank you. I’ve got the CBX Zipcore wedges in 50 and 54, and CBX full face in 58. Slightly nervous about how it will be from tight lies in the summer and bunkers with little sand but the wedges blend in nicely with my Cleveland Launcher XL irons.

@gcoffey223 Thanks and yes like the 50 and 54 especially in these winter months and rough. Decided to sell the 58 full face one and as felt I struggled without a lack of a lower bounce/smaller sole wedge in my bag so now have a RTX6 in Low+ (8 degree) in a 56 degree. Gapping not great but was more drawn to the sole grind and how it sits and plays off the compact sand and harder soil.
@gcoffey2238 ай бұрын
@vkar4992 I was torn between low+ and mid. Do you think the low+ in a 58° would be better than mid aroundvtge green. I like to open the face up and was probably going with the low+ on tgat one

I live in Az, csme out to Indiana in September. I'm still here. Started building my Srixon bag, started with my zx4 mk2 4 iron, ordered some zx5 mk2's shoukd be here in a few week, and I picked up a rtx 6 zipcore 54°. Lost all my foam balls over the neighbors' fences, roofs, some I need to wait for the snow to melt, but it helps keep my swing entact. When I get home, I need to take out either my 3 wood, hybrid or cleveland chipper. Maybe have a sudden death at the range between 3W and hybrid, or just grow up and putt with an iron again.

I bought my son the discontinued '20-21 RTX (52) for Christmas. I knew that he isn't crazy about a wide sole wedge he owns, and the RTX is so darn pretty, so I took the risk. We went out to a ballpark on a drizzly 38 degree Christmas Day and (thankfully) he seemed to be hitting it well. We do at least know it will look great in the bag.😉

Got a question for you sir, would you prefer more distance or better accuracy? And you can’t have both…
@mistahshorthitter8 ай бұрын
Can't answer that one. Depends on how much of each. For 40 yards I'd definitely give up accuracy. For 4 yards I would not give up accuracy.
@Weare301868 ай бұрын
Not 40 yards between 5-15 yards..
@mistahshorthitter8 ай бұрын
I would give up accuracy for 15 yards. I would not give up accuracy for 5 yards. 8 yards would probably be a toss up. It also depends on how much accuracy. If I'm hitting it out of play I wouldn't want the distance.
@Weare301868 ай бұрын
@@mistahshorthitter I’m asking because my distance has dropped a few but have become a lot more accurate in playing my shots going exactly where in my approach but comes up short in that 5-13,15 range not so much on par 3s that play under 200 yards but second shot on par 4 and 5. It’s cold so I’m going to wait until after summer to evaluate because we know cold plays longer but even when I have clubbed up…but accuracy wise I’m placing the ball exactly where I want it to be, and I’m liking that! Thanks for your time!
@mistahshorthitter8 ай бұрын
It definitely sounds like you are hitting it pretty straight. Yes, cold is going to play a lot differently not only because of temps but also because of the layers you wear. Get a good grasp on your carry numbers in the Summer and you will be on the way to lower scores!
