He was great. He was a human being with a heart and soul that he allowed to show in his roles. This is a wonderful interview. He is honest, genuine and smart. He struggled with life like all of us. Only, his is followed at such an extreme level as a celebrity that none of us really know the truth as gossip and rumors sell, but he gave us a lot in his roles and candid interviews. He admitted at the end of the interview he could fall at anytime. I do not judge as even in our own lives, the truth is not always spoken about each of us. May his sweet soul now RIP. Thank you for posting this. Love the family photos. I miss him.

He was truly a great actor. There is a Facebook Page dedicated to his acting, Ray Sharkey: Idolmaker. I could only imagine all the great roles he would have given us. I miss him. May he RIP as he is now in a happier place.

As an actor Sharkey had talent Willie and Phil who'll stop the rain and playing Alan Ginsberg in heartbeat he nearly always stole scenes just a shame about his personal life

Ken Wahl said Ray got sick and died quickly, which is merciful. His manager said his doctors said he should have died around 7-8 months earlier, and he fought it hard. He died in June 1993. May his sweet soul RIP. Miss him.
