Adjusting or replacing the nut as most makers make it too high. Same again with the saddle making sure it follows the camber of the fingerboard. Getting the optimum buzz free action by adjusting the truss rod and on electric guitars adjusting the saddles to get the intonation spot on. Strats may also require the springs to be fiddled with.
