Is there Version 1 and Version 2 of this A Fresco amp? If so, what is the difference?

There is a Mk2 but I cannot see any obvious difference.

A few years ago when I was teaching, I had access to lots of guitars but after I retired I had to rely on buying and selling second hand guitars. Over the last two years people have largely stopped buying so fewer sales has meant fewer videos.

Learning a second instrument is easier than the first because you know what you are looking for. You know where Em is on your guitar but where is it on the keyboard? As for your dear lady loving the idea??? I have tried the, 'God told me to,' line and it doesn't really work.

Hi John. I believe you can adjust the touch response of the keys on the Roland (in addition to just turning on/off). Fixed, light, medium and heavy. Maybe another setting would work better for you. That said, I think the Yamaha sounds much, much nicer in this video. Hope you are well.
@JohnCouplandguitar16 күн бұрын
I have tried all the settings but the problem is the rubber key contacts which are too stiff. It is a shame because the voicing is very good.

Holy crap dude. Between the thickness of your accent, and the booming low end and dynamic response of your mic, I could hardly understand a thing you were saying. At first I thought it was in another language! Fortunately I could see what you were doing, but if you spoke any "pearls of wisdom" I didn't hear it.

I had one of these, and I couldn't stand the action on it. The Casio CT-S1 is far better, but all these fake 'touch sensitive' keyboards are generally quite bad. I actually prefer the cheaper stuff, keyboards without any velocity.

Hi Ken, her mobility is not improving, one step every 3 seconds is her top speed. She was left handed and the stroke affected that side but she can now write legibly with her right hand. All in all she is bearing up well.

For those nice clean tones I actually enjoyed the flats and they were giving (you were getting) a very nice tone ☺️. The rounds are brighter and louder, but I guess Id say that I thought the jangle of the rounds got in the way of the tone a bit.

I didn't really have much to say, but I'm told comments help the algorithm so I thought I'd say something. I'm enjoying your videos and a detail I hadn't noticed occured to me. When you're showing the tab or notes you're showing the whole (or large parts of) the sheet. Most KZbinrs whov very little at once forcing you to skip back and forwards in the video. It's and extra hassle I don't really need and a detail I appreciate. Thank you for the videos.

The first GD51(acoustic)and GD51ce(with electronics) used Solid Sitka Spruce Tops and Rosewood back and sides. Then a few years ago they switched to Black Walnut. The Rosewood is lighter in color than Walnut. The reason for the change is because Indian Rosewood like Brazilian Rosewood is no longer available. Companies like Martin, Gibson, Taylor, Takamine and Alvarez buy quantities that last up to 50 years. The reason why Brazilian Rosewood can be found on extremely high end guitars usually Anniversary models costing up to $100,000 Canadian is due to companies cutting old stumps. Walnut is has bass but still has highs so it's high quality and available anywhere in Canada or the US making the guitars more affordable. I bought the first Walnut back, sides.fretboard and and bridge guitar. Gibson J15 with a maple neck and all North American Wood. Then Walnut started being used by Taylor, Takamine, Seagull. The only major manufacturer that hasn't used it is Martin.I highly recommend Walnut.

You made that Takamine sound better than the Rosewood version I own.

Thanks for the great video. I wish I saw this before. I’ve been trying to record myself playing and I keep picking up the very heavy key sounds (I am a beginner). Do you have any tips for reducing this either by how I play or how to record more effectively? Thanks 😊
@JohnCouplandguitarАй бұрын
The best way to record is to plug a lead into the headphone socket of the keyboard and the other end to the input of your recording device. That way no physical sounds will be picked up. If you can only use a microphone to record then put the Casio up to full or nearly full volume. That way the noise of the key mechanism will be a smaller percentage of the total.
