That metal straw is actually a really good idea because single use straws are horrifically bad for the environment. They gouge into sea creatures, such as turtles and dolphins and give them excruciating injuries such as holes in their heads and eyes so please use reusable plastics, especially straws as much as you can!

The UV light thing is legit; My chemistry teacher has a cabinet that does the same thing but for lab goggles. Basically, it kills any and all bacteria, but without removing physical masses. His example was if someone puts a booger on it, then the light will kill all the boogers germs, but not get rid of the booger. So you'd be left with a literally harmless (but still gross) booger.

Metal straws and glass straws are amazing because straws can't be recycled and most of the waste ends up in the sea hurting a lot of animals Lily.

I just want to say I just started watching you guys and I've never been so positively affected. In this show you embrace your inner child and you are being yourself and not fake. You also aren't afraid to show your feelings, and at my school we are taught everything has to be perfect so u can't share your feelings and you have to be mature and keep everything perfect whether it means being fake or not. I love that as adults you aren't keeping your child in because all I want to do is be a kid but I can't cause I'll be judged harshly. I'm just gonna be myself for now on so screw it and you guys brought me through everything I love you guys:) (I'm 14 btw)

Hey babes - that UV light thing actually works. I'm a makeup artist and it's one of the methods we use to steralize tools. It's not as affective as other methods as any dust that obstructs the light will cancel any of the affect in that spot, but it still works pretty nicely :) xx
