In fairness though..show was much weaker without Elana. Many people have stated the same opinion. It was still great, and sure, Elena was DEFINITELY annoying at times, but it wasn't the same. Although rooting for Stefan/Caroline and Enzo/Bonnie, was their only hope to keep it going. In my opinion, there will never be a show to rival Diaries.. And so far I've seen em all.. Breaking Bad, Legacies, Supernatural, Sons, etc. The way Vampire Diaries can almost become part of who you are, is pretty insane. So many great moments, and whoever chose the songs to match the moments, for maximum effect, was a friggin genius.

Ayana Bennett, one of Bonnies ancestors, was best friends with ESTHER MIKAELSON! She was the one who gave Esther the spell to become the originals. you mean to tell me that this whole time Bonnies ancestors had connections with the mikaelsons and they didn’t explore it??? Bonnie was the first person in over 1,000 years to bring THE NIKLAUS MIKAELSON on his knees at the age of 17 and that was ignored, too! Also she is a descendent of Qetsiyah, ( her 1st ancestor!) so why didn’t they have more scenes together? Also, Bonnie was just as powerful as the devil( as she was the only person in existence to create another psychic dimension with her mind) so why not focus on that,too? Ngl a lot of people underestimate Bonnie and what she can do. It’s not just in terms of her being a Bennett witch. She sent hellfire back to hell by herself ( Yeah the Bennett line was behind her but in spirit not actually there with her, it was all Bonnie ) and hellfire being probably the MOST powerful thing, she sent it back and only passed out as the next scenes show her again and she’s traveling the world after breaking kais unbreakable spell. Compared to the originals Bonnie would still imo be placed in the top three being second to Dahlia because she did happen to go against Esther in TVD.

The last scene was concrete proof of the level of natural power and skill Bonnie reached at the end of season 8. Many people take that scene for granted. First, she contains Hellfire (a psychic fire said to destroy everything in its path) within a powerful enough forcefield. Note that this is all the Hellfire in Hell (a worldwide dimension). It had the power of several nuclear bombs. And she was powerful enough to contain it inside a forcefield. That’s an incredibly powerful feat. 200 years ago, it required 100 witches to perform this same feat, but they died trying. But Bonnie did this all by her self. But it didn’t stop there. She magically redirected all the fire towards her, 8miles away, through the tunnels under Mystic Falls. It takes great magical power to continuously redirect something that powerful over miles and miles of land, making sure it doesn’t go the wrong way. And she did this without even being present. She was able to do all of this mentally, with great focus. Has any witch ever achieved such a feat of power and level of control over something as tangible and powerful as Hellfire without even being physically in the same environment? No. This means Bonnie can attack anyone within an 8-mile radius without being in the same location as they are. That was insane. Then, when the fires exploded in her face, she still had enough juice to hold it at bay for minutes. It was here that her nose started to bleed (meaning her power was draining and she was pushing it, so it was pushing back). Then she invoked the Bennett bloodline to join her to send it back to Hell, to destroy Hell. Note that if Bonnie wasn’t psychic, she would have never ever been able to physically interact with spirits because this is not a witch power (in this universe) and spirits from Peace can’t manifest themselves at will. This must have been her psychic side making it possible. Note that in this universe, only the most powerful witches can channel incredible amounts of power through their bodies, use all that power at once and survive, while weaker witches would get badly hurt or die. An example is Freya channeling the Ancestors’ magic compared to Kaleb getting terrible nose bleeds from channeling a diamond etc. But what’s insane is that Bonnie’s mortal body was powerful enough to withstand channeling at least 2000 years worth of powerful magic. She survived using all of that energy at once. But all in all she destroyed 4000 year old Hell, freeing possibly billions of souls of “evil” people that had been sent there for millennia. This is possibly the greatest service to humanity any being could ever bring to reality because had she not have stopped Hellfire, it would have spread to the rest of the world in an explosive way because that’s what fires do-and being supernatural in nature I doubt any ordinary human means would have been able to stop it. This alone should make her the greatest witch/psychic in the last 4000 years. An ultimate saviour of both the spiritual and physical worlds. And then she broke Kai’s Sleeping Beauty spell (a spell said to be unbreakable) like Dahlia destroyed a spell said to be indestructible. All with her own natural magic (unlike Dahlia). And even before all of that, in season 7, she resurrected 3 people in the same season, with her own magic. First, she resurrected a vampire spirit from the Phoenix stone into Jo’s body (something that required the power of three Heretics), then she resurrected Matt Donovan after killing him briefly (something she wasn’t powerful enough to do before and needed to channel Dark Magic to achieve), then she resurrected Damon from the Phoenix Stone. Note that Freya could only perform this exact feat while still connected to Dahlia, yet Bonnie’s Bennett magic could achieve something Freya’s first born Mikaelson magic couldn’t. In season 2, when her magic was only about a year old, she was powerful enough to teleport an object 300 miles away shortly after casting a locator spells to locate Elena 300 miles away without channeling anything. This was classified as Advanced Magic in the TVDU. Also, in season 3, when her magic was only about 2 years old, she was powerful enough to break three of Esther’s powerful spells without channeling anything. First she revoked Esther’s Spirit Manifestation Spell, banishing Vicki’s ghost back to the Other Side. Then she broke Esther’s powerful Dark Magic Boundary spell without channeling anything. Then she was powerful enough to break Esther’s powerful Doppelganger Original linking spell, delinking 5 Original vampires at once, without channeling anything. In the same season, she was powerful enough to turn Grams’ spirit into flesh, like resurrection, without channeling anything. Do you even know how rare and OP this is for a witch with only 2 years power growth? What about when she was powerful enough to migraine Tyler (a hybrid) and Damon, making Tyler faint and Damon on his knees? That was impressive! Bear in mind that throughout the entire series, Bonnie’s magic only had less than 10 years growth, but her innate power was stronger than anything we’ve seen any other witch (except Qetsiyah) do. This means if Bonnie’s magic activated when she was a baby (like the Hollow) or a toddler (like Hope), she’d be as powerful as she was at the end of season 8 by the time she turned 9 or 10. That means she’d be the most powerful witch child we’ve ever seen, much much stronger than child Hope or Freya. If Bonnie’s magic had the same growth time as Hope or Freya or Davina or Esther or any other witch we’ve seen, she’d be much much much powerful than her level of power at the end of season 8. EDIT: People say, “well Dahlia was still stronger than Bonnie”. I honestly doubt that. Bonnie’s own innate power was already equal to 100 witches’ magic (which no witch has shown to be naturally that powerful, except like Qetsiyah). Now add in her Psychic side which was powerful enough to rival Cade’s 4000 year old psychic power (which had been amassing for 3000 years before Dahlia was even born) and then add in the fact that she has the huge potential to draw power from the entirety of the Bennett bloodline, including Qetsiyah’s total power (2000 years worth of powerful magical energy) and survive, and can attack anyone from at least an 8-mile radius (8miles is a great distance) without being present. She also knows how to access Expression (the strongest type of magic in this universe) and all her knowledge about high magic. So, how is Dahlia going to be stronger than all of that? Or if we strip both witches from any external help or channeling or non-witch psychic power, Bonnie would be left with her natural magic (equal to 100 witches’ magic) and Dahlia would be left with her First Born Magic. From all the evidence we’ve seen throughout the show it’s clear that Bonnie’s natural Bennett magic is way stronger than natural First Born Magic because First Born Magic alone hasn’t proven that it is equal or above 100 witches magic. So how would Dahlia fair, raw power-wise alone?

Anyway imo I don't think it's more of a Scooby doo (actually Supernatural is the live action/adult version of Scooby doo, and it's great haha). The show kinda reminds me of Power Rangers LMAO. The main evil character sends out monsters each episode to cause havoc and fight the power rangers, in this case, the super squad. How lame and boring is that HAHAHAHAHA. Bonnie had a very strong and very deep connection to the spirit magic of the bennet line. And not only that but she had Expression and Earth magic as well. Bonnie pretty much mastered every type of magic there is in the tvd universe. She had magic coming out of her ears kinda like Freya did. The witches in Legacies (I assume you refer to Josie and Lizzie) are siphoner so they have no magic of their own. The other witches are mainly earth magic users. Bonnie had a leg up in the sense that she had a large reserve of magic waiting for her while these new witches probably focus on 1 thing and don’t expand their horizons

@@Allo.nvm02 you need to realize that compared to all these other witches you mentioned (who were witch children), Bonnie was a late bloomer. Her magic came alive at the age of 16. Yet, by season 2 or 3 Bonnie’s 2-year old magic broke a number of Esther’s spells. This means if she activated her magic at birth (like the Hollow) or an infant (like Hope) she’d be already powerful enough to break a number of Esther’s spells at the age of 2. So comparing that to Hope’s feat of stopping a car as an infant puts it way above Hope’s car-stopping feat. Also, you need to realize that unlike these other witches you mentioned, Bonnie did not grow up in a coven or community of witches (she’s self-taught) yet, she’s achieved greater feats than most known witches in this universe. You also seem to forget that compared to all these witches you mentioned, Bonnie’s magic went through the most trouble. Bonnie lost her magic when she became a ghost, then Anchor, then was resurrected in the Prison World. Her magic came back in the Prison World only for her to relinquish it into her teddy. She comes back from the Prison World and starts using her magic. Her power grows, but she then starts to take anti-magic pills for three years (Do you know how much damage that would do to a witch’s magic?), then she loses it again when she becomes a Supernatural Huntress, but when the Huntress status is removed from her (by a descendant of the witches who created the Supernatural Huntress) she loses her magic again. That’s 6 times her magic was in trouble in the course of the entire series, so of course you wouldn’t see too many of her magical feats. However, when it comes to her magical feats, she did way more than most witches in this universe has done. She broke a number of Esther’s spells with her own magic. She invoked an massive storm over Mystic Falls channeling the power of 100 witches (the only other witches to have done this are Dahlia, the Ancestors, and the Hollow). She resurrected Elena, and finally Jeremy (with Emily Bennett’s help). She then goes toe-to-toe with Klaus himself and almost killed him if not for Elijah. With Expression, her access to power was limitless. She resurrected Professor Shane, cast locations spells without needing incantations, fought Klaus and locked him in a boundary spell for days and he couldn’t do anything to break it. She turned Silas into stone. Self-healed herself like a vampire. Invoked a storm within the Expression Triangle. She also lowered the Veil between the living and the dead (within the Expression Triangle) adding power from Qetsiyah’s blood (Silas’ Tombstone). She stood against Kol as well. She also resurrected Jeremy (by combining three different types of magics, which was the reason she died). We don’t see her witch side again until the Prison World. But she relinquished it. But used her own intellect to locate Silas’ tombstone to channel the magic inside to help her connect to the Aurora Borealis (celestial event) so she could escape the Prison World. At this point the Prison Worlds begin to collapse, yet she’s skilled enough to channel and focus on the spell despite the confusion it was causing. This shows her incredible focus during spell casting, if casting a spell as two worlds collapsed didn’t distract her then almost nothing would. When she returns, Kai (who had the power of two witches-Luke and Jo-plus his status as the leader of the Gemini coven) notes that he needed Bonnie’s magic to enable him to be powerful enough to send himself, her, Elena, and Damon to the Prison World. In season 7, Bonnie resurrects a vampire in Jo’s body from the Phoenix stone (something that required the power of 3 Heretics), resurrects Matt Donovan (after killing him briefly), and resurrects Stefan from the Phoenix stone. All in the same season. Freya could only do this exact feat (with her talisman) while she was still connected to Dahlia. That was a huge statement to the level of power Bonnie reached in season 7. But many fans always take this for granted or skip it because it wasn’t dramatic (with the floor shaking and electric bulbs flickering). We all know resurrection spells require enormous power and Bonnie did this three times in one season. Then in season 8, we see Bonnie’s natural magic perform a feat no other witch (except maybe like Tessa) would be able to do with their own natural magic. She contained Hellfire (which required the power of 100 witches) and then redirected towards herself, over 8 miles of land, making sure it wouldn’t go the wrong way and killed anyone (that would have required a lot of magic to maintain) and she did this without being present. She did this over 8 miles away. What witch in this universe has achieved such an immense feat of physically affecting/moving something miles and miles away without being there, just by incredible mental focus? None. And then when the massive fire exploded in her face she was still powerful enough to hold it off for minutes before her magic began to drain. This was the only time her ancestors came to join her to send it back to Hell. But note that this wouldn’t have been possible if not for Bonnie’s psychic side. She wouldn’t have been able to physically interact with spirits like that (because this is not a witch power in this universe) if not for her psychic side (which allowed her physically interact with Enzo’s spirit). She also used her own magic to break a spell said to be unbreakable (just like Dahlia was able to destroy a spell said to be indestructible) and is also the only living witch who knows the spell to directly kill an Original (without needing White Oak like Dahlia did). This is the spell she learnt from the spirits of the 100 witches that granted her their power to kill Klaus. She’s the one who’s practiced more types of magic than these other witches (Traditional, Spirit Magic, Expression and Dark Magic). And still knows how to access and practice Expression. I haven’t even added the powers from her psychic side (which were phenomenal given she’d just discovered them). So how can you compare her to Davina or Vincent or New Orleans witches? Or Hope or Freya when none of them have achieved such feats with their own magic. Like what’s Vincent’s greatest feat of magic, using his own magic? What’s his greatest feat of magic, channeling others? Answer the same question for Hope, Dahlia, Freya, Esther, Davina, and the Hollow. How many of them would be able to do the things Bonnie did with just her own power?

@@Allo.nvm02 With first born magic alone, Dahlia’s greatest feat was the Fertility Spell for Esther apart from that she threw a Viking soldier telekinetically but nothing spectacular either. She used Dark Magic to create her brand of Connective Magic, which she used to connect to Freya’s power. It was only after this that she destroyed a village. But note that villages in ancient times were not big (10-15 families or less; street-level feat) so it wasn’t a monumental feat in comparison. And she used fire, which accelerates. So it wasn’t like she blew up the village. Also, Freya losing control and affecting the environment and killing the birds wasn’t her own power (at that point she seemed to be in her teens or early adulthood meaning her magic had already been augmenting for at least 10-15 years). So you can’t add that as Freya’s own “devastating” power. Also, when Dahlia was unlinked from Freya, she was automatically linked to Klaus. So, she had access to the 1000 year old Dark Magic in his vampire blood which allowed her free herself from the “slumbering” bit of her Slumber spell. She only broke the linked between her and Klaus after she remotely melted the dagger inside him. She became linked to Hope after using her vines to take a drop for Hope’s blood, so she had Hope’s power in the end. Yet, she still needed White Oak to kill the Originals. Hope only undid one barrier spell by the Harvest girls but all she did was break the salt boundary, using wind (Freya did that to Dahlia’s boundary spell once, and an unknown witch did that in season 5) banishIng Davina’s spirit. She wasn’t powerful enough to resurrect her parents or break free from the cursed shackles or break her own spell or break Penny’s boundary spell. Bonnie (and Qetsiyah) is easily the most powerful witch in this universe, naturally speaking. All these other witches achieved their greatest feats channeling power from other sources. So if you really want to mention that Bonnie’s ancestors helped her destroy Hell, then Dahlia used Dark Magic, and augmented her magic for 1000 years to reach where she reached, Esther channeled the sun, white oak tree, Doppelganger blood, and dark magic to create the Originals, the Hollow’s magic was given to her by the most powerful witches in her village for 9months and draws even more power from multiple sacrifices. They all needed major help. Yet, Bonnie’s the one with the most powerful natural power and if she channeled any of the things these other witches channeled she’d rival or even surpass their feats.

The Hollow’s acolyte didn’t say Hope “will”, he said she “might” be the most powerful witch to walk the earth. “Might” means he wasn’t sure and it’d take a person who’s seen the power of every single witch that has ever existed and will ever exist to make such a statement. Clearly his statement was an exaggeration. Here we go again with the devastating power thing. There has been absolutely no proof that first born magic is incredibly powerful. If it was so powerful, Dahlia wouldn’t have been taken captive by human Vikings and held as their prison for years. She wouldn’t have needed to practice Dark Magic or channel Freya to take revenge on the village. She wouldn’t have needed to cast a spell to augment her own power. She’d have been simply that powerful. This means first born magic isn’t the strongest natural magic out there. Bennett Magic is stronger. Hope stoping a car as an infant wasn’t a spectacular feat, she simply seemed to disrupt the electricity of the car (she didn’t seem to telekinetically hold the car off). Bonnie channeled those witches’ powers, she didn’t absorb their spirits into her body so I can’t see the comparison. And the Hollow did take over Hope’s body, and was killing her and there was absolutely nothing Hope or anyone could do. The other witches aren’t main characters so obviously they won’t “have the chance” but their magical repertoires speak for themselves. They don’t need to appear multiple times for us to know what they’re really capable of. And you can say that Hope’s wolf and vampire sides allow her take on more dark magic and heavier spells but that wouldn’t take anything away from Bonnie. Bonnie’s body (which has no enhancements) is powerful enough to channel an entire bloodline of powerful witches (going back at least 2000 years) at once + her own immense magic. She’s equal to the task.

I don’t understand why the writers hated Bonnie so much, she is literally THE most beloved character of the entire series. I hope they don’t do us as dirty with Legacies this time around and give fan favorite characters their time to shine or at least listen to what the fandom wants/needs and make it happen.

When I think about it bonnie is the only witch who started at a late age & learnt so quickly & actually worked her way up with natural magic, even when she had expression it was still her own magic. She lost all her family so she’s also self taught, I could only imagine how good she would be if she had guidance back then. Bonnie & qet are the strongest witches with raw magic idc.

You forgot Hope and Freya who have proven to have more raw power then Bonnie, and don’t start naming Bonnie’s feats that she channeled or used a amp cause they obviously don’t count, she only has 2 good raw power feats while Hope and Freya have many

@@Omar-dy7kd Hope's most powerful moments were with Inadu's magic inside of her. In Legacies she was much weaker even tho she was still a werewitch, like in the end of TO. And it seemed like Malivore and the Necromancer were holding the upper hand always, since Landon got killed with that arrow (by the Necromancer) and this cycle ended when she got the tribrid condition, by that time only Malivore was the problem and she ended him with what it was believed to be his kryptonite: her blood (which is not a magic feat, she happened to have the cosmic luck to have the best weapon against Malivore running through her veins). As a tribrid, she achieved a greater immortality (white oak can't kill her, as she woke up faster than her father with that dagger in her chest). Having this kind of immortality made it easier to perform powerful spells and use more dark magic than ever. I'm pretty sure if Bon also achieved an immortality like Hope did, she would use Expression and the darkest magic with ease. Taking this aid away, if Hope, as a werewitch + Inadu's magic, and Bon, as a psychic-witch with her ancestors link, ever fought against each other, I would say Bon takes this (the hard way tho).
