I liked him when i didn't even know who he was. My friend bought the first 2 Nazz albums in 1968-69, with psych masterpiece Open My Eyes, the original ballad version of Hello It's Me, and the super heavy Under The Ice. In May 1972 I went to my second-ever rock concert. Headlined by the Jeff Beck Group, Todd was the opening act. Also saw him in Dec. 1984 at a club-type show in a solo performance, sort of a live version of what he was going to do on his next album, "Acapella", using backing tapes & vocal overdubbing. But the song that blew me away the most that night was Tiny Demons, originally the b-side to the Time Heals 45 rpm single thet came with the 1981 vinyl lp. Everything drenched properly in echo & delay made for a fantastic atmosphere... p.s., I've got an old bootleg cassette tape of a show (is it The Agora, Cleveland 1985?) with a very similar sounding version of Time Heals. I think it might be available on a legit cd release these days...

A musical genius is an understatement! Todd’s lyrics in so many of his songs, to me, are beyond spiritual! I don’t know the words to describe all of the feelings his music has evoked from my soul! I know it has touched my mind in many ways that it has made my life a better, more thoughtful life, and through those feelings I’m sure I’ve reacted better to people and by my actions have touched those people too! But it was Todd’s thoughtful seeds that were planted in my brain. So Todd, you have no idea how far reaching your love has spread. Those people will never know where the kindness came from and Todd has no idea how he has inspired me In So many ways. He has touched so many lives and no one recognizes where all of this love and kindness has come from. Thank you Todd Rundgren! You are an angel to many of us and you are so appreciated!!! Love to everyone doing their part here on this great earth! Todd, you are 100% correct: LOVE IS THE ANSWER!!!
