In my 20s, I was so honored to be a part of that 2000 voice choir, Voices of Freedom. I still have my shirt, banner and backstage pass. Seeing and hearing Mandela made a huge impact on my life and was a day I'll never forget.👊🏾

It's very sad how apartheid ended, but the affects were psychologically lasting and damaging. In today's society in South Africa, the once oppressed people have lost who they truly are. Once they became free they adopted their oppressor's identity and ways and seem to be very lost. Seems to be the cycle and outcome wherever whites go and oppress blks
