That NBC Peacock logo at 17:16 is very rare. It was only used by Channel 4 from 1966-1968, and it was used mainly for local color programming. "Oopsy The Clown In Daisyland", "Mort Neff Outdoors," "Sonny Elliot At The Zoo", and "George Pierrot Presents" mainly had the logo as it's opening.

The NBC color Peacock 1958 footage was used before 1966. It was in use at least as early as 1961. And when NBC upgraded the peacock with dissolving discs forming the feathers of the peacock. Channel 4 continued using the 1958 footage so long as the print had not faded! Then they got their own produced by one of the local animation shops. This was just before video tape came into full use.

@@RayPointerChannel 1958! Wow, that's longer than I thought. NBC Detroit's peacock is so different looking than the official peacocks used by NBC for other city stations. It's certainly different than the 1956 "harlequin" peacock or the 1962 "Laramie" peacock. I'm thinking that Detroit (and Windsor) saw this peacock a lot during the 1960's, but today it's so rare.
