I live in Kennesaw and you have no idea what you’re talking about. We have crime here just like anywhere else. Our crime rates are lower than the national & state crime rates, but similar to other suburban areas in the Metro Atlanta area. And our rate of crimes per square mile is actually more than double that of the US and almost triple that of the state. There has most definitely been a law on the books in Kennesaw since 1982 that requires every head of household to own a firearm, but it was an entirely symbolic law that was passed in response to a town in Illinois prohibiting residents from owning firearms, and it has never been enforced. Any reduction in crime rates that happened after the law was passed are purely coincidental, as the crime rates statewide decreased just as much during that time.

The county I live in just about every one is armed and most churches now have a security team..

To those on this thread with disparaging comments about the perpetrator, your comments are quite interesting in that the majority of mass shootings - and terrorists - in the United States, from its inception until now has been done and is done at the hands of whyte people, and the perpetrators of said crimes are rarely if ever brought to justice, and if the perp is brought to justice, he is treated with kid gloves by law enforcement. Everyone knows that if the perp is Black, the public will be told almost immediately; however, if the perp is whyte, days will go by before the public is informed.
