I love the check marks when things are done. I know it might be silly but it is very satisfying to it. I never understood before why I would see them sometimes but not others. Thanks again for a great explanation Layla.

Saints be Praised!! Thanks you SO much for explaining this very mysterious aspect of ClickUp. I had no idea why some are a check and others a box. Actually, I which I could have multiple status (really 3 would do: not started, started, done), but still retain the check. I like Click-Up but find many of its features mysterious and unintuitive. I have subscribed and look forward to your further explanations of this great tool. Other things I find confusing about click-up: controlling the notifications and how to see tasks that are completed to see notes, etc. Thanks again and all the best.

Is there a way to accomplish the check mark simplicity of tasks in the app? All my lists, folders, and spaces are set with only two statuses and they still show the boxes instead of check marks.

The older app does allow you to use checkmarks...but the new app is a bit more "set in stone" an it has different UX than the main web app.
