Today I got triggered by feedback from a client and instead of spiralling out of control I decided to confront my insecurities. #freelancing #tinyliving #fearless

Thanks for sharing...so glad your growing and smashing that inner voice that tells you ...can't,won't or that you can not do something you put your mind too! All the best to you..

Anytime someone critiques something we do there will be some kind of trigger. It can be a learning tool to make you better at your craft. You are a writer.

Actually we’re not used to hearing honest feedback bcuz we’re not known for giving it in western culture In cultures like Japan, Jewish, Nigerian it’s very natural bcuz it’s something they do regularly. In Japan they have something called “hensai.” They get together with their family once a week and each person gets to tell you where you’ve shown flaws or how you can improve

yes having a client , is synonymous with performing a "job" as opposed to being an "artist" (as you stated) an putting forth your own content. The pay as an artist is different than being an independant contractor as you know. could be more or less, it just depends. God Bless always !

Appreciate your honesty, I think it’s important to notice our triggers and to test them out for reality checks because our mind has delusional patterns that limit our confidence. Talking it through helps use figure where it stems from, and reassuring ourselves that we have all the right stuff so we can move on. You figured out that the client gave constructive feedback and was not critical this immediately helped to tag the trigger as unfounded fears so you can move on, this is important hard work that you are doing and sharing this helps us all to face our triggers and fears so we can stay confident. Best wishes, Julie

So I do freelance writing and editing for clients who need content written for their websites, blogs, ebooks etc. Clients will provide feedback or needed revisions if that makes sense. Most times it is in the feedback is where what the client really wants is shaped😊
