Great information. I'm sponsoring my oldest grandson in his journey to tattooing and I appreciate learning things he needs to be prepared to handle.

I love these stories and examples on what to do with clients like this. It’s awesome hearing about some of your personal experiences & scary at the same time wondering when it’s going to happen to me😂. Only major thing I have had happen so far in my first year and a half of tattooing was doing a lower back name coverup & the lady kept swaying back and forth like she’s going to pass out & I ask, are you okay & told her we can take a break or finish another day if needed. She said no I’m good you can continue, I literally ask her 3-4 more times trying to convince her to maybe hold off but seemed like that was making her angry so I just continued as ( requested )demanded lol, about another 5-6 minutes into starting again she projected a lot of vomit on everything in front of her. 😒I wanted to puke myself watching that, anyways shut down rescheduled & began cleaning & sterilizing for the next several hours. I’d imagine there’s more to come in the future though, I’m looking forward to it lol😂. Love the video as always man & hope you both have an awesome day. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

I think u should do a show on. Doing nice Strate lines on people and shadowing the too I’ve seen a bunch of fake skin stuff. But fake skin dosent take colors the same so that would be a grate one. Thanks. Mike

Like hairstylist. A client bad mouthing all her previous stylists will talk bad about you. Don’t touch these people. However you want the Queen bee of the office she wants to show off for everyone and in turn will through her loud mouth will bring you clients …(by showing off and being a loud mouth). I always work dirt cheap to free for Queen bee, cause the make you money!

Very informative, and a very beautiful wife with 6 years experience, I remembered before you were married, tattooing her father, and I thought my father in law trust me enough to let me tattoo him(even though he doesn't have any), even though I've been into it for 20+ years & we're very close, I don't think we've ever talked about tattoing, you're a lucky guy Brandon, regarding bad clients, I've run into a few, even though I used to be high in my earlier years of tattooing, I don't think I have tattooed anyone who's drunk or high, maybe some might have popped piils or purple liquid, being who I am I think guys with attitude who are drunk or high who can splash thousands of $ refusing to leave without a tattoo threatening to destroy the shop's equipments usually gets knocked out, even if their bookings that day, sometimes repeat clients, my decisions may not be very professional, but as the years passed, clean and religious, I learned a lot and knows how to deal with bad or aggressive clients a lot better, now being in another country volunteering as a social worker/councillor and doing whatever needed to be done, I am humbled..teaching users how to tattoo as a form of therapy helps them a lot, but having all your prized machines stolen by the very people you're trying to help hurts, I made up my mind to go home asap but realized that's not what I came here for, machines are just material things but human lives are what matters the móst in life, that was a year ago, and now we're starting our sessions with cheap coils and rotary machines, and I have realized how much I missed workíng with pedals and wires, I now know everything happens for a reason, BTW I have learned a lot from you, you're a good man and I pray everything works out great for you and your family

I wonder what advice you would have for someone like me who is still new to tattooing, and would appreciate some insight at to what are the more common tattoos that come in to shop that I could spend more time perfecting. Like roses, peony, skulls, animal heads, etc. Again always very grateful for the content. It's literally changing my life and allowing me to try at a career path that would have otherwise not been possible.

I say it would really depend on the type of clientele that your shop gets! Trends of course do play apart as well but roses, hearts, skulls are definitely classics. You should start out with roses for sure, it'll help you learn alot with shading

@@Tattooing101 I deeply appreciate the quick reply guys. I will commit to working on these as you advise. I'm still finding it difficult to work out grey wash on traditional roses with dynamic black , but I will keep at it. Again thank you for the content. You guys help so much to make a dream seem possible.

I remember doing Japanese style drawings and portraits in high school about 14 years ago. I always wanted to do tattooing as I think the art is gorgeous but I've always been intimidated by the culture or at least my perception of it. Like I legit used to think a requirement (in a hazing kind of way) in tattooing was knowing how to fight and not back down from one otherwise your shop mates (is that what tattoo coworkers call each other?) would consider you weak and give you shit, up until I visited a tattoo shop in Boston and was taught that all those archetypes and personalities aren't prevalent across the board, not to say there aren't intimidating tattoo artists and/or people. Granted I've never been in a fight or have ever been in a heated situation (except when I almost got expelled from my high school among other things) but just mentioning this with tattoos pretty much shows my naivety that tattoos always correlate to something negative which is a dying view I have because of your videos. I know this job is kind of a violent one since you slowly stab people but its still a beautiful craft that brings sense to peoples lives in various ways. These videos are great research material to know the job and not a fantasy so thank you.
