I liked them so much I bought all six ratchets over a year ago and never regretted it! These are better than any craftsman and beat any similarly priced tool today. No these aren’t quite as smooth as tool truck brands but are almost on par with GearWrench at half their price.

Can't imagine making payments on hand tools. I usually pay cash; if I don't have the money in my wallet, can't afford it. I sub to BSB82. Good channel. Due to his experience, I tried out Capri's metric hex sockets. No complaints down to the packaging. The ratchets look good.

I have quite a few Capri ratchets and i love them all...I found after spending the time taking them all apart and applying Super Lube synthetic grease to the internals they became even more smooth using.....I have their extra lomg comfort grip set and have no complaints but I do wish they offered a flex head option on addition to the fixed head set they currently offer

This is a little late, but I noticed the snap ring inside the capri ratchets are used inside the new snap on fllf80 ratchets. They are used underneath the screwed backing plate. Dont know if it helps retain the pawl and gear inside

They look so nice. I just hate ratchets held together with snap rings. Why? I don’t know. Maybe because a lot of the cheap, no name ratchets are build that way. It’s odd that the fixed head ratchets are held together with screws but the flex heads are spring clips.

@@AircraftMechanic-AP Right On Bro. No Craftsman store nearby, but the tools are on display at Lowes. They look nice but I worry about the strength on the metal used. I have a Capri 1/2 inch breaker bar and its way more beefy than my duralast if had for years and it feels like its going to break everytime I used it. My old boss tried it and he stopped and said he feels its going to break and didn't wanna get hurt. Kinda discourages me but I might try their 1/4 flex to give it a try

Which is better, Tekton 90 ratchets or Capri premium ratchets? Why?
@ClientGraphics3 жыл бұрын
It all depends. The Tekton has detents on the flex head vs friction ring on the Capri. Capri is a non-quick release vs Tekton has both options. Some of those options are deal breakers for people. Both tools work. I would buy which ever is the best price and has more of the tools that you know you will buy to take advantage of rewards programs. I personally use my Tekton ones more because I bought the complete sets in case.

You lost me at 72 teeth....for me, there’s no reason to be under 90 teeth. I’ve had unbelievable reliability with gearwrench 120xp. I have Milwaukee ratcheting wrenches that are 144, Sk x-frames are something ridiculous like 256 positions... I hate the feel of gearwrench 84tooth. And the Snap-on 80 head only impresses me because of the tight tolerances and minimal backlash.... the amount of teeth can ruin expectations due to sloppy tolerances. They (Capri) look gorgeous, when your in wide open areas, teeth don’t mean nothing, but most everything in my shop (light diesel and vehicles from 96 to current 2018, there’s not much room for anything
@spelunkerd3 жыл бұрын
Main issue from my perspective is durability. More teeth inevitably means there is less surface contact area, so will be more prone to damage over time.
@cowboy412313 жыл бұрын
@@spelunkerd agreed if they only use a 3 tooth pawl like the GW 120xps.... but sk x-frames engage 6teeth at each time... on some traditional 90tooth ratchets there r up to 7 finer teeth engaged on a single Solid pawl...... no matter how we count it, there's a plateu effect eith how force an anvil can take (ie: 3/8" drive anvils see gonup to about 260-280 ft lbs depending on manufacturer) point being is its mot the teeth failing, however the durability and reliability over longterm against grit dirt moisture
