Cliff Crozier (1915-2020) Imagery Slideshow Tribute

Hello everybody its Foxy speaking and yes in this video this is an imagery slideshow tribute video for Cliff Crozier (1915-2020), he wasn't famous but he was fairly well known as a British/English centenarian. He very sadly passed away earlier this year in 2020 which really hasn't gone that pleasantly I do say due to the coronavirus pandemic :-(. Let's hope 2021 will be a far better year. Dear oh dear :-(. I was meaning to do this in September 2020 but never mind. Cliff Crozier was born on the 6th September 1915 in Birkenhead in The Wirral region in Merseyside in Cheshire. We was schooled in Birkenhead and went to college in Birkenhead in the 1930's to take up a teaching position as a teacher. In 1939 when the Second World War broke out, Crozier who was then a young teacher was called to join the army to fight throughout the war. But during the war he married his Canadian wife Renee (1917-1990) in 1940 who emigrated to England from Canada in about 1935. After the war in 1945 Cliff Crozier continued back to his teaching career. By then a year later the couple welcomed a child together, a girl Carolyn who was born in 1946. Crozier taught a Greasby Junior School starting as a teacher until receiving the promotion as a headteacher in the 1960's of Greasby Junior school. He held the position until his retirement in 1978. Sadly, years after his retirement Crozier's wife of 50 years Renee passed away in 1990. After Renee's death in 1990 Crozier visited her hometown of Montreal in Canada every single year from 1992 until 2010. In November 2014 at 99, Crozier made a headline for learning how to use the online internet on a computer in a Birkenhead library. In September 2015, Crozier celebrated his exciting 100th birthday with his family and even had a visit from the Mayor of The Wirral who attended his birthday party. Then in October 2015 shortly after celebrating his 100th birthday he has treated to a holiday in New York City with his then 69-year old daughter Carolyn. In May 2016, some months shy of his 101st birthday, Crozier made the headline for flying in a biplane after not flying inside one for more than 70 years stating his experience in flying inside a biplane once again as 'very exciting' after not doing it in a long long while. On the 6th September 2016, his 101st birthday, Crozier rode first class on a Virgin Trains class 390 Pendolino from Cheshire to London Euston as a special birthday present. In the Autumn of 2016, shortly after his 101st birthday, Crozier was interviewed by Life Hunters for the youtube video 'Life Lessons from 100-year olds' along with fellow centenarians Amelia Tereza Harper (born 1913) from Greater London and John Millington Denerley (1914-2018) from Eastbourne in East Sussex. He never met the fellow centenarians who were interviewed alongside him. On the 18th November 2017, Cliff Crozer then aged 102 made a headline for switching on the Christmas Lights on a decorated Christmas tree in time for the festive holiday season for Christmas. On the 8th November 2018 shortly before the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice ending the First World War, Crozier was made guest of honour at the Birkenhead Park Senior School since he lived to see the end of WW1 and the signing of the Armistice in that time. On the 6th September 2019, Crozier celebrated his final 104th birthday. Within the next 6 months Cliff Crozier sadly passed away on the 12th March 2020 aged 104 less than 6 months shy of his big 105th birthday. He was survived by his daughter Carolyn, his 2 grandsons Christopher and Rich who were born in the 1970's and several great-grandchildren who were born in the 2000's and 2010's decades. The reason why I've done this video everybody its because I was originally going to get this done in time of his 105th birthday anniversary day which was the 6th September 2020 but I forgot rather stupidly enough :-(. I know Goncalo yes its very very sad that he's no longer with us, its sad when a lot of the geriatric generations sadly pop off over time after living a special, happy long life. Its generally ordering the internal organs to keep going like a commando when onself lives a long life Goncalo. He was a prominent centenarian and I look up to him as much as you do and I admire him too despite his death. Thanks so much indeed for your friendliness Goncalo is very very appreciated :-). We've had several prominent centenarians Goncalo I do say aswell as supercentenarians. We have the Irish centenarian Michael O'Connor (born 1913) who is 107 going to be 108 on the 13th October 2021 but I wouldn't be surprised if he lived to see his 112th birthday on the 13th October 2025 Goncalo I really wouldn't :-). But we had John Millington Denerly (1914-2018) who also lived to be 104 nearly 105 like Cliff Crozier (1915-2020), we also had Kirk Douglas (1916-2020) who lived to be 103 just 10 months shy of turning 104, we also Goncalo had Searson Thompson (1911-2019) who loved to be 107 nearly 108 well he died a few months shy of turning 108, also having Harry Fransman (1911-2020) who lived to be 108 nearly reaching 109 Goncalo aswell as having the late and fairly prominent Robert Grant Pitts Weighton (1908-2020) who lived to be 112 Goncalo and also the late and fairly prominent Alf Smith (1908-2019) who lived to be 111, Ken (1914-2020) and Edna Medlock (1915-2018) who lived to be 105 (Ken) and 102 (Edna) respectively Goncalo. Hello there. Cliff Crozier (1915-2020) didn't quite make it living to see his 105th birthday he sadly died nearly 6 months before his 105th birthday making him over 104 and a half when he died. So he did extremely well living to be over 100. There are people out there who are over 110 just to say which is incredibly impressive. Take care and all the best. From Foxy :-).

This man lived to see some of the most important moments of our entire history as a species so far. Two world wars, the invention of the nuclear bomb,the moon landing, the invention of cars and airplanes , the invention of the internet. This man experienced a life in a time and place that will probably never exist again… amazing!! It makes me wonder about my future and what I’m going to be apart of🤔

I too wish I had met the late Cliff Crozier (1915-2020) aswell, its such a shame that he is sadly no longer with us I agree :-/. He was 104 years of age and almost 105 so he lived to a fantastic age I must say, I was honestly hoping he would live until at least 108 but sadly he did not as not all people live to 108 as we all know it. Hi Tommy :-). I'm really sorry for not responding soon enough to your playlist link. My foot is a lot better now and for over 3 in a half weeks I've had a whole new foot. Its a figure of speech even though I wasn't requiring surgery goodness gracious but the healing did happen without such gruesome surgery Tommy so my foot is ok now :-). I'm afraid that is wrong. The late Cliff Crozier (1915-2020) did not take herion just to politely let you know he took absolutely no drugs like that he died of old age just to say. There are people who do live to be 110 plus yes but not everybody lives to that age. Just to let you know. But take care and manier best wishes. From Foxy.
