Cliff Jumping at a flooded slate quarry! | Blue Lagoon, Abereiddy | Pembrokeshire Adventure

In this video, Hannah took me to the Blue Lagoon in Abereiddy, Pembrokeshire, to go wild swimming and cliff jumping. There are mixed reviews about this place, with some people calling it overrated, and others saying its a must see. So join us as we go on this Pembrokeshire Adventure in the blue lagoon!
With its deep blue waters and sheer drops, its an incredibly popular tourist spot within Pembrokeshire and is considered a must see of the national park.There are 4 different levels of cliff jumping which at high tide range from 4-5ft, all the way up to 30ft. Its world class for watersports, but its ruins and rugged rocks still hint at an industrial past.

@@myunextraordinarywonders hi there! Thank you so much, it's a beautiful place that is well worth it's reputation. So for this video we mainly used the GoPro Hero 8 to get the underwater shots. But usually we use a Sony ZV-1

Never been there before but heard a lot about it and sometimes with mixed reviews, you have to check it out for yourselves. I would hope to be heading home at 12.10pm lol, I like a crack of dawn start. I expected a lot more people there so nice to have it almost you yourselves, must admit, I thought it looked canny. I think it was so quiet because we went there on a weekday. If it were a weekend I can imagine it being SUPER busy. I'd agree with you that it's a place where people should visit to make their own minds up rather than just reading a bunch of reviews on trip advisor 😂

@@NotAnotherAdventure Thanks. It was awesome but seal breeding time of the year so we had to be careful. We went when the tide was high so sadly the jumps were maybe a meter smaller than what they are in this video. We measured the big jump at 8.8m and the smaller at 3m. Very cold though.

@@lordviper1234 AHH of course! I didn't realise seal breeding happened there. That's still some impressive height! Did you have fun? I went back there with some mates in the summer and couldn't bring myself to do the high jump 😂

@@NotAnotherAdventure Yeah it was great but my friend and I were kinda nervous cos it felt wrong jumping the gate to get to it-I defo want to go back there next summer to relax and enjoy it more tho. Also the trick with the big jump is to not think about it and just go for it...

You really go for it in this video! A few years back when we were staying in Newgale we had a look at some of beaches along the coastline and we actually visited the Blue Lagoon but didn't go in. We remember seeing lots of people diving and we also couldn't believe how blue it was! Pembrokeshire is definitely one of the best if not THE best coastline in Wales.
