Even when she is belting out like this, there is a certain intimacy to her singing. When so many artists are arrogant and overly dramatic she remains humble and sensitive. This is amazing because she has had everyone telling her how great she is since before being seven years old. I felt just like you the first time I heard this. To think she is only 12 years about to turn 13 in this performance. That's like 7th or 8th grade for gods sake. My favorite part is the landing. To be singing so powerful and reaching deep to get those high notes and then end so soft and smooth. Amazing. By watching it looks like she is struggling some but if you close your eyes and listen there doesn't sound like any struggle at all. This is simply a stunning performance that very few singers can do justice to and Angelina delivered as always. Thanks Cliff

She has just turned 13. You really have to be aware that these are her play things . She is just having fun. She is not afraid of taking risks, at all!!! She has a very strong voice but with the control to sing softly and not go out of tune. She just topped one million subscribers, I've been a follower from before the subscribers hit 3 digits. This backtrack was given to Angelina by none other than Mark Ronson himself, after meeting her in London at the time of Quincy’s 85th birthday concert. Let's just face it. If you can pull something like this off at the age 12 or 13, there is absolutely no limits. Not even the skies. And we have to keep in mind where and how this was recorded. Whitney (R.I.P.) was 29 at the time of her recording, in a studio. In that recording I assume we get to hear the result of several partitions stitched together, to ensure that her absolute best vocals in any part of the song is what comes through to the listener. And then the post production. This is raw, one or two takes. In her room. And she does THIS ? Can't wrap my head around it and never will. She brushed against the buffers a couple of times in this one but more because it was too tiring for her little body than any absolute limit. After the first chorus, I decided the key change to the second chorus would see her fall apart. Instead she outstretched that right arm as if poking me in the eye for doubting her. Angelegend, which is too often apocryphal, says she did this in response to doubts expressed about her range. All I can say is her range back then is not what it is now or what it will be when she is in her late 20s like Whitney was.

You were so right when you said that in places it is difficult to tell if it's Angelina or Whitney. You can tell Whitney is a mature woman and needs less effort to reach and hold the belts. But Whitney is 29 here and in her prime; Angelina is barely 13. I know this is a really late comment, but… if you want to be amazed even more, don't just listen to this cover again, listen to Whitney's studio original again (the music video with over 500M views).
