Beau Dermott (Defying Gravity) went on to do Broadway and has a musical career. What she didn’t know was that her dad (pictured in one of the audience reactions) was diagnosed with terminal cancer and in less than six months after her audition he passed away. He got to see his daughter succeed.

Their have only been a very few moments in my lifetime where I was able to let the thought / idea, to continue uninterrupted, all the way to the destination. The very moment that I realize, that I have arrived at that breathtaking apex, It starts to fades away;.... as the memory of it follows much slower, blessing me a few seconds more with the unbelievable. She's been on other talent shows before this one and she has plenty of confidence and plenty of stage experience. When i watched Emma I felt so much. She's so beautiful and talented and she doesn't even know it. I could see how closed off and nervous (panicky) and I hope she can overcome that someday. She is way more brave than me, I could never get up there and do what she did. Amazing.❤
