This song and "stepping stone" pretty much say it all about how D12 fell out.
@Sunny-jz3dy9 ай бұрын
This was at the beginning! It wasn't until after Proof was killed that they really went separate ways! But they didnt have a falling out! Things just weren't the same after Proof was gone. D12 was Proofs baby...he was the leader.

Proof was hanging out in the city like he was a regular dude. I asked him one night I saw him at the club, I asked him why are you here? He said, why wouldn’t I be? This my City. Proof was Detroit through and through.

I've always felt this song is a double. On one side, it's about conflict within the group. But also, I do think the verses refer to others as well . Proof's verse is rumored to be about Detroit legend Esham.

this one always hits hard because if proof was still here i wonder how different things would be, proof wasnt just an amazing rapper but seemed like a good person despite his flaws

Bizarre done a song it came out a couple of days ago and he gave a lil diss to bumzino. Proof was definitely the glue that kept D12 together. Dunane and Bizarre was at a lions game with Em a Few weeks ago. Stepping Stones is such an Amazing Song. I love this song too. Thank You for reacting to How Come. Redo Infinite if You want to.

7:48 Denaun also worked at Gilberts Lodge and lived with Em and Kim (and Hailie) if memory serves me right. He produced beats for Em in exchange of rent, and Em even slept on the couch and gave Denaun a bedroom so he could use it as a "studio" where he had all of his equipment set up. Upon his first time meeting Dre Marc Labelle said “Yo, Denaun did “Just Don’t Give a Fuck”, he did “Low Down, Dirty” [Dre] was, “Yo, that’s my shit! That’s the reason we’re here!”. You may have already known that but if anyone hasn't, you're welcome lol

@j.coreyplestina234Ай бұрын
3:40 Cliff, what Em meant was Proof made a full time nonstop job out of making connections and earning his reputation in Detroit hip hop, hosting battles and anything to advance the culture and was highly respected. Meanwhile, Em was working 9-5 (steady job) either at Gilberts Lodge cooking or at Little Ceasars and would do hip hop before or after work. Like when Proof cleared out most of the crowd at the hip hop shop (not sure if that was the opening scene in this video) and had Em come in to a smaller audience to test himself cuz he was not confident at the time, Paul was in the crowd for that performance and met Em for the first time. And the rest is history...

That's why he was the unofficial Mayor of Detroit! Proof knew everybody & they knew him! lol He made the connections and pushed Em when he needed it. Thankfully these guys got there ish together and stuck together! Sadly it just wasnt the same after Proof was killed! They all went there own way...& people were still asking about D12 ..thats when Eminem finally came out with Stepping Stone. Bizarre came out & defended Eminem over this Zino crap! lol
