CLIFFE CASTLE 4K DRONE KEIGHLEY DJI MINI 3 PRO

Cliffe Castle Museum is located in Keighley, West Yorkshire, England and only a short drive from Bradford. It is a stunning local heritage museum which opened in 1959. Originating as Cliffe Hall in 1828.
Cliffe Hall was originally built by Christopher Netherwood between 1828 and 1833, and was designed by George Webster who was a gothic revivalist.
The Butterfields, a textile manufacturing family, bought the Hall in 1848. They transformed the building by adding towers, a ballroom and conservatories from 1875 to 1880, and renamed it Cliffe Castle in 1878.
By 1887, the Cliffe Castle Estate was surrounded by 300 acres of land. The son of Henry Isaac Butterfield (1819-1910) was Sir Frederick William Louis Butterfield (1858-1943). In 1916, Sir Frederick was the Mayor of Keighley and held that title until 1918 when he hosted a visit to the town by King George V and Queen Mary. Sir Frederick's daughter, Marie-Louise Roosevelt Butterfield (1889-1984), married in 1918 and later became Marie-Louise Roosevelt Pierrepont, Countess Manvers. Sir Frederick died in 1943 and so his daughter Marie-Louise, Countess Manvers inherited the Cliffe Castle Estate.
In 1949, the building and grounds were bought by Keighley Corporation with the assistance of Sir Bracewell Smith, a local benefactor, who in 1955, paid for the conversion of the house for public use. The house had been gabled in the neo-gothic style, with tall towers each end, and conservatories. In the interests of modernisation, the back tower was taken down, and the front one shortened although still impressive. The high Flemish gables and other decorations were removed from the roof, and the conservatories demolished. The service rooms were replaced by the octagonal art gallery in the 1950s.
In recent years Cliffe Castle has undergone a major restoration. Visitors can see sparkling Victorian rooms and furniture, paintings, and decorative art. There are also special galleries with natural history, archaeology and social history displays.
Cliffe Castle is definitely right up there in places to visit as you will be shocked from the moment you walk in as to just how impressive this building is and has fantastic displays on show.
The staff are very keen to give you a warm welcome and have extensive knowledge of the building and happy to answer questions during your visit.

Thanks Simon they have spent a lot of money improving the place. I was spoilt for choice as there were 3 water features at the bottom, twin round ones and then the big blue in the middle. I actually filmed more of the water features shots but you have to cut somewhere so that’s how the video ended up. Thank you

Awesome and very inspiring video, Trevor. 🤘👌I love your flight moves. Somehow reminds me of what I always try to do to make the videos much more interesting. Not easy to perform and sometimes also carrying a high risk risk of crashing the drone. The up- and sideward flight at 1:34 was very brave. You could have easily ended up in the trees. Aw thank you so much I really appreciate your support and kind words. Don’t worry I never take risks as I don’t want to lose my drone lol. Sometimes it visually looks close but the camera makes things look much closer. I have been close sometimes but still have clearance. This is the problem with many beautiful buildings in the UK they usually aren’t in wide open places and are surrounded by tree’s. This week’s video on Sunday is the perfect example but managed to get the video done before summer when they are in full bloom.

Thanks AirViewChannel I appreciate you watching. Yeah I know what you mean as many places such as old Mansions and Halls were renamed or named Castle as it sounded much grander than Hall. This place would have looked amazing as it had more towers etc in the past. No Cliffe nearby though unfortunately but then it may have been lost like many homes along the coast who knows.
