Yeah it was a good trail. The Cliffhanger hill was the best part. Rest of trail is pretty tame.

That steep, rocky portion of the trail going down to the gate is called the Cracked Axle.
@Trail89Adventures11 ай бұрын
Interesting, never heard it called that.
@hendrsb3311 ай бұрын
@@Trail89Adventures I'm not sure if it's publicly known as Cracked Axle or if it's a designation given by Rainbow Adventures, at least that's how I've always heard called. I drive Jeep tours for RA and the Hummer tours use that trail. I've driven it a few times in a Hummer and it's definitely not for the faint of heart.

@@hendrsb33 Have you done the Poweline Trail out there close to the base of Casner Mountain? It is on my list but just haven’t gotten there yet. @hendrsb33
@hendrsb3311 ай бұрын
@@Trail89Adventures No, sadly, I haven't yet. I drive for A Day In The West tours which is a division of the Rainbow Adventures group in Sedona. Before driving for them, I'd never touched a Jeep before. They train new drivers and we get a lot of practice on the trails (best way to learn, btw). But the tour companies are permitted by the Forest Service to operate on designated trails and we can't drive just anywhere we'd like. After 4 years of driving tours, I'm finally getting around to buying my own Jeep soon. Once I have that, I can drive wherever I want... including Casner Mt. I really want to start checking out trails all over the Southwest.👍

Another good one Todd. I still like the way you shoot and produce (ESP. that you don't over-produce). This trail looks like a fun one, gotta do Outlaw first though. Was that 6mi total or the length of trail? Thx.
@Trail89Adventures Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah right at 6 miles. I was updating the trail guide for Trails Offroad. It should be published on the app soon. I did Outlaw as well. Video coming. Outlaw is quite a bit easier and gets you closer to the red rocks. Also did Casner Mountain. Real cool trail. Need a permit for that one.

What front bumper and winch do you have?
@Trail89Adventures5 ай бұрын
ARB stubby front bumper and Warn VR Evo10S winch.

@Trail89Adventures thanks for the reply. I've been contemplating on a warn or just getting something from rough country.

@@PatheticPeasant I really like the bumper. It is solid and has good mounting points for lights. You can mount the winch right to it. No additional mounting plate is needed. As for the winch, it got me out of some mud and being high centered.

Wow so even more expensive, did you do the 2.0 or the 3.0 with the adjustable reserves.

Hi there, quick question. Just bought a 2019 stock JLU Rubicon and live here in Az, I have driven some of the trails you show on my SxS. It looks like your jeep is also in stock form no lifts so My question is, have you been able to do all this trails without any major damage to your “pumpkins” or anything under the belly ? I appreciate your input before I take mine out. Thank you.
@Trail89Adventures6 ай бұрын
In this video I was running the stock Rubicon suspension and the stock 33” tires. I haven’t had any damage to the pumpkins. I had damaged my rear stock plastic bumper and plenty of scratches and bruises on the stock rock sliders and skid plates. I updated my lift at the end of 2023 to a 3.5” lift and 37” tires but the first video showing that was the one titled “Rolls 1343.” Hope that helps.
@tonyman54176 ай бұрын
Absolutely, thank you so much for your input. Which lift you went with ? Did you did other mods to run 37’s ? I am still debating between 35’s or 37’s Thanks in advance for your opinion.

@@tonyman5417Metalcloak Gamechanger 3.5” lift. Also did the Metalcloak steering. Had to upgrade the wheels with a different backspacing in order for the tires not to rub. Tires are Micky Thompson 37”x12.5”. They actually measure about 36”.

I was looking at the same one with the red shocks but 2.5 lift instead. It’s an expensive set up but probably way worth it. 👍🏼 Thank you and congrats !
@Trail89Adventures6 ай бұрын
@@tonyman5417 it is definitely pricey to do it for sure. I did the Falcon adjustable shocks when I did the lift as well. Forgot that part.
