On July 21, 2018, Clifford Greene was spotted here at the beginning drumming with everyone on that Saturday night jam session as Lummi Nation hosted 25-canoes beginning a week long journey to the shores of the Puyallup Tribe of Indians in the south Salish Sea.
I was emcee for the day events, but when it comes to evenings I'd rather be filming and recording all my canoe family from throughout the world. So when iGRABBED my GoPRO and began filming, I'd seen Clifford drumming along with the woman who began this awesome moment from Saturday night.
It didn’t surprise me when Xutz’sal (is his Indian name), jumped in front and center of the drummers on Saturday, July 21st at Lummi’s Wexliem House on the Power Paddle to Puyallup, 'It made my heart soar...' Clifford is forever learning and looking to learn and has been drawn to our traditional & cultural ways and is very proud of who he is -- and where he comes from.
Clifford does not allow Down Syndrome to define who he is.
Yes, he was born Trisomy 21, -- he has an extra chromosome and he might take a little longer to learn or do certain things, but he has never allowed that to excuse him from trying and achieving his life-long goals of being included #INCLUSION.
“When Clifford sets his mind to something he doesn’t let anything stop him,” says mother Leanne Green. “Clifford has a job, he helps his family at home, and he constantly leads his life by example.”
I’ve watched my little cousin grow up over the years. He’s always kind to everyone, he shows he cares for all the people and he wants people to be happy and feel loved. Through his life and accomplishments he has constantly shown that “We are more alike than we are different” says his mom, “and that he expects “acceptance” and “inclusion” and “awareness” from his peers, friends, family and community,” and that is where we all can come together as human beings.

I just can't STOP watching this vid ✊🏼 I turn KZbin on 1st thing n the morng n listen 2 this song n it'z the last song I listen 2 rite b4 I go 2 sleep. Yet, I don't even no what the dance is about 🤔 Or the song ✊🏼

I so enjoy watching this video ✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼 Seems like every day I have 2 watch it just 2 calm myself. I'm dealing with PTSD, and other thing and seeing the young man dance'n just so enjoyable. Thank 4 sharing.
