Cliffs of Dover...But Eric Johnson plays Country Guitar

If Eric Johnson was a country guitarist maybe Cliffs of Dover would have sounded a little different? After doing this I’m definitely glad his version sounded the way it did, it’s much MUCH better than this country version. Either way, this was a lot of fun to make, let me know if there’s other songs you think I should “Countrify”

I wish I could "thumbs up/like" this 100x. Such a great display of technique making something a decidedly different genre or sound and yet STILL 110% recognizeable. Might I ask what you're playing? I've seen a cpl other KZbin pickers w these and I thought the first was like a peavey patriot that had been Frankensteined, but apparently not. Tyvm for the video

Thank you! I had a lot of fun making this so appreciate the comment! I'm playing a fender Strat that I bastardized, it has a warmoth neck and all telecaster wiring/pickups.

I’ll take a look at that one! I know a country version exists, Marren Morris does one with a few different singers. But I’ll listen to the original and see if I could work with that track!
