The thing i realize, most pvp players and especially reapers, are the biggest losers and deadbeats in the Game. There is a high chance that a reaper crew are losers. Its more the Mark of the losers then reapers. Cause a majority of them are pussies that "only" attack people that dont fight back or smaller ships then them. Im honest its the biggest pussy behavior i ever witnessed in a video game.

About a week ago my friend and I were running as reapers and we stopped at Lone Cove for part of a captain's quest. I was taking some treasure to the beach to be harpooned onto the ship when suddenly I saw a rank 5 Athena sloop coming directly at us. We thought we were going to be done for. However, this Athena had no intention of sinking us. Apparenly he was about to log off and was looking for someone to give his extra loot and supplies to. We ended up getting around 10 stack of cannon balls and a surplus of food. He even helped us sink his ship so that we could take his flag. We ended up making about 100K from our rank 3 flag in about 2 hours. This whole thing really goes to show you that there are jjust some really nice players out there.

The trick is that you shouldn't be afraid to sink. If you just attack every reaper you see expecting to be sunk 100 times you will get very good very quickly. Just watch tutorials on KZbin first for combat and navy skills.

Me and my friend were trying to live on an island, so we made a competition for finding animal crates and burying them at the beach. (We did this at lone cove so we covered both beaches.) Whenever a ship pulled up to the beach, we came to the beach and started digging pigs from the ground. It was hilarious.

@@CliffTheStoryGuyRan across 2 solo sloops, and there was a Galleon on the horizon. Plus I'm pretty sure there was a brig at Sanctuary Outpost. I recommend doing it on a larger island with an outpost nearby, because ships may come there to stock up on resources. Lone Cove was great because there was a phantom fort, shrine, and skeleton fort nearby. We ended up rowing back and forth to Picaroon Palms to get more loot and storage crates to spawn on our island.

@@CliffTheStoryGuy The whole story with the first solo sloop was pretty funny. I rowed over to Cannon Cove because that sloop was doing ashen winds. I took the one chest and four skulls they had, and started rowing back to Lone Cove. However, they started following me back. The seas were rough that day, so I did a weird turn and tried to hide under the waves. Somehow it worked lol. The sloop ended up sailing to Lone Cove to find my friend there. My friend made peace with the sloop, but if they saw me or my rowboat, they would realize that we were not as friendly as we seemed. So I rowed to Lone Cove, hid the loot in a cave, snuck on to his ship, raised his anchor and lowered his sails, then lit his ship ablaze and watched it sail away. He came back, so I did the same thing again and killed him. He never came back.

As a Hunters Call guy, I just sort've watch in the distance when people fight. Saw an emissary, couldn't tell what, being chased by a Reaper. These were lvl 5 reapers too, and they were on a sloop. Of course, they sunk the ship and came near me. One shot themselves onto my ship, and the other, I'm guessing the Captain, stayed on the ship. I asked if they had sunk the other ship, but I knew they did. I was like "Cool. Here you go." And gave them a ghost ball I had gotten. The one that stops the wheel. Later, saw them sink a Brig. I then gave them another of the same ball, as well as a jigball. They proceeded to give me a storage crate from the brig filled with cooked meat. That was a good day. 👍

On the topic of new ships: I believe a way the devs could implement new ships without drastically changing the game is adding variants to each ship. For example the brig, they can bring in a 3 manned ‘Junk’ that has bow and stern cannons instead of broadside and is fastest in cross winds. Or maybe for the sloop they can add another 2 man ship the ‘flute’, which on spawn has barrels that are stocked with supplies, it isn’t particularly the fastest in any category but it has gunpowder barrels/fire barrels that can be thrown off the back to deter chasers

I did Legend of the Veil for the first time yesterday and got sidetracked being chased by another sloop (I was solo). I managed to convince them that they'd be better off coming back later when I had loot. Stupid, I know. They came back while I was at the tornado and I said I just wanted the stone. They agreed and sailed to a safe distance, but when I finished the fortress they were no where to be found! I took all the loot and sold it, getting off scott free! Couldn't tell you what happened to the other sloop. 🤷

Hey Cliff, love your content and story telling, here is a tip if you want a better Portal hop method, Start up the third chapter for Pirates life, get to the part where Barbosa is attacking the city and have the checkpoint there. This way you have two things, 1. No dialogue from the NPC to wait for. (Insta portal) 2. You can farm the barrels there on the starting area up until the well for food and supplies for supply crates. (It's not much but I farmed it for 20 min and got around 200 CB and a lot of Pineapple)

I've raised reaper a few times, not for the gold bonus, but to attract pvp so I could get better. One time I was sailing around looking for someone to fight. I'd been sailing for quite a while before I finally checked my map and noticed that a reaper had been chasing me the entire time. Terrifying to see that galleon as a solo sloop, but another sloop rolled in and we both made quick work of the ship. I guess they thought they would have the upper hand being a galleon, but their ashen dragon flag didn't mean they were gods.

I love PVP myself but when we tried to play the game, it was impossible to learn how to play because of the troll PVP'erss. Hard to fight against people with years of experience when you are only hours old to the game. Even the islands were camped. Several times when logging in, we were killed and our boat sunk before we had a chance to even get off the island. Finally we gave up. I thought the game was pretty awesome but couldn't learn to play due to the toxic pvpers. However, thank you for not being one of those people and sticking up for those who are trying to learn to play.

Hey Cliff, one thing that I noticed you do when someone is boarding is aim at them on the ladder, however what you need to do is aim at where they will stand when in the animation at the top of the ladder so you can 1 shot them while they're in the animation and can't move
