Your rattling needs a little work IMO. I'm not trying to be negative at all its just in my experience that when you rattle that aggressively (especially during early rut) most bucks will go the other way. Its best to go much slower and be less aggressive while rattling. If you ever see a real fight in the wild the antlers dont rattle that fast. Its a much slower more drawn out sound with a lot of pauses in between with only ground noise being heard.
@CliftonDenneyOnYourOwnOutdoors Жыл бұрын
I don’t disagree without however like humans deer have different personalities. I try to judge the sign and figure out how aggressive a deer is and make my calling patterns around that. In this situation the deer was laying down very aggressive sign so that what I targeted and it worked

Hey bud you don't need camo dust lol. You waste money for no reason because you can get something from nature that is far superior than camo dust. What you can see dust for 3ft or so. Thats all wind direction. How cool would it be if you could see something for a 100' or so? How much cooler would it be if u could see it that far with thermals and wind swirl? Fricken awesome. Try and pick some milk weed pods. Dry completely, remove seeds, put into air tight container and take it in your pack. Grab one or 2 of those fuzzy things and release it from stand. WoW, WoW, WOW. Watch it fly away and float 100% with your scent and it will follow thermals. Lots of people pay attention to wind dir but ignore thermals.. Milk weed. Its free and superior to any dust.

Wow, that’s crazy. I have a whole bunch of milkweed that I used to see wind direction however, I never knew milkweed was a scent eliminator

THEY ARE NOT HORNS!!! You would think being so involved and passionate about hunting you wouldn't mistake Horns and "ANTLERS"!!!!!
@CliftonDenneyOnYourOwnOutdoors Жыл бұрын
They identified as horns🤷🏻♂️😂
@Hammerback0 Жыл бұрын
😂 i thought the same thing. Its like if you watch a channel of any member of the military and say "I got a 10 round CLIP for my pistol today", youll be corrected quickly and informed its a magazine. The only channel i can think of that calls antlers "horns" is Luke Bryan shooting a solid 90" buck on high fence and repeatedly saying "is he down"? "Is he down"? "Horns horns horns" i thought he was talkin about a trumpet or something. 😂. Good video sir. Gonna load my clip and get me one with some big horns too next month with my fully semi automatic beltfed muzzleloading high capacity rimfire smoothbored 1:8 twist blackpowder that i carry my extra powder in a powder antler. 😂

Why? Yall come hunt our state. OK. But then clue ppl in where you're hunting. It's a double whammy to us. I live where you hunted. How does that help us at all? Enjoyed your video and good luck next year. Please refrain from the clues to your/our spots please.

Listen if I was you I would have tried to put a stalk on that buck since he was locked down with that no even if he smelled you a little bit I don't think he would have left her you probably could have killed him
@CliftonDenneyOnYourOwnOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
I do not disagree with that tactic however I feel more confident in my calling ability then I do my stalking ability lol

Went 50, can't beat that. Like I said great buck. I don't video hunt I'm sure it's a pain.
@CliftonDenneyOnYourOwnOutdoors Жыл бұрын
@@Alex-qx1sq my apologies I miss read your first comment. He was at 50 when I shot him. He ran maybe 10 yards and yes sir it is a pain I self film. In this situation, the viewfinder on my camera was on the opposite side of the camera, and I did not notice the deer walked behind the branch.
@Alex-qx1sq Жыл бұрын
Well good thing you have your own eyes cause he's a buck down. Congrats wasn't trying to hate just would have liked to see the shot, I'm sure you understand.

When I watched the video and heard you screaming about shooting the deer, I figured it was your first bow kill ever. Then in one of your responses to someone else you said you’ve killed 14 P&Y bucks. You’ve killed that many deer and you still acted like that? I’m sorry man, but you’re an embarrassment. And according to another response of yours, what we saw was heavily edited. Are you kidding me? Dude, show some maturity. Try watching Jared Mills. He shoots absolute giants and his reactions are the epitome of class.
@CliftonDenneyOnYourOwnOutdoors Жыл бұрын
I do watch Jared mills and let me tell ya…. theres a big difference between a public land deer and a farm deer and the emotions that go with that…. Sorry you didn’t enjoy the video! Thanks for watching!

@@CliftonDenneyOnYourOwnOutdoors Pretty sorry excuse but whatever. The video was great. Nothing wrong with anything about it. Just your reaction was ridiculous.

@@russelllangworthy8855my apologies I thought you could see I was not making an excuse. I have no reason for an excuse! Everyone is different! I do none of videos to be (socially, correct) rather just hunt, make a video and put it out there for people to enjoy. I was also being sincere when I said, sorry you did not enjoy the video. I assume I should have said I’m sorry you did not enjoy my reaction. however, anytime I can harvest a 150+ inch public land deer in a state I’ve never been too…. I’m going to get excited! And I’m not sorry about that! I have a pretty excited personality, and when I put all that work into it, and it comes together i runneth over the top lol
@russelllangworthy8855 Жыл бұрын
@@CliftonDenneyOnYourOwnOutdoors That’s cool. You don’t answer to me or anyone else. Maybe I’m too critical. You being excited about the kill is a good thing. I wish I still had that passion, but then, I’ve always had a very subdued personality. Last year I shot a 173 5/8” 12 point and my reaction was like, “Oh well, another day at the office.” In any case, sorry for being a dick about it. Congrats on a great deer.

No wonder you have to go out-of-state to hunt your whoopin-and-hollering has spooked everything in Arkansas ,what happened to controlling your emotions and being respectful on public-land where other hunters are on stands waiting for a shot ?
@CliftonDenneyOnYourOwnOutdoors Жыл бұрын
😂🤣😂 you mean I scared all the deer out of the state of Arkansas!? Hopefully the insurance companies will compensate me for that! However, I am a pretty respectful guy. The only person in that block of woods that heard me was my buddy. Thanks for watching I’ll try to do better for you next time!
