"Rules for thee, but not for me." The hypocrisy and narcissism of these know it alls. In the future you will be fined for driving in your vehicle too much- mileage tracking. And then when you no longer allowed to own a car, you can live in a Smart City where you can walk to everything you can do. You will have a social credit score tied to your programmable digital currency, and most likely getting Universal Basic Income, so you cannot say anything negative about it or the government, or your rations will be turned off.

ABC you did not explain why the glaciers are so important to preserve. They basically function as a fresh water storage. Fresh water is saved in them during winter and released during summer. Baisically all major european rivers are originating from the glaciers in the alps.

@@eragon96grasel Absolutely not. When I'm joking I add a smiling icon. You wrote why you find it so important to preserve the glaciers and I gave you an example why this statement is wrong. Even if Europe would be located in a warm climate it would still have all his rivers. The Nile is just one example, but even the biggest river on earth, the Amazon has no glacier at its source.
@eragon96grasel
@eragon96grasel Жыл бұрын
@@oldineamiller9007 Well I don't understand how the Nile having water (of which it has less year be year) changes much about the river in the alps? When the rain in the winter is not stored in the glaciers because it is too warm, then all the water goes to the sea during winter. However Europe has most of its water needs during the summer. Without the glaciers there would too much water during winter and not enough during summer.
@oldineamiller9007
@oldineamiller9007 Жыл бұрын
@@eragon96grasel The precipitations are still the same. Only during winter it comes in the form of snow. The snow accumulates on the higher regions and there is less water flowing down during winter. But it still doesn't change the fact there is still the same amount of water availible no matter what the temperature is. It's just one out of the long list of non-arguments invented by the climate alarmists.

For the last several million years glaciation lasted around 85k yrs. Interglaciary periods lasted 10-12k yrs. We are 11,700 years into the Holocene, the current interglacial. There are too many forces at play creating these cycles to try and discuss them all, BUT CO2 levels, slowing of Oceanic belt, ongoing and expanding global temp anamoly, greater number of 100+ yr weather events, mass permafrost melt and Methane release.....these are all red flags that glaciation has been triggered. Lots of arguments as to what we should or shouldnt do about it, but thats where we are scientifically. Its something that would happen anyway, but we most likely have triggered it to happen sooner.

Keep your bad feelings back for another occasion. They are lying. The year is over at the 31st of December not in summer The plane wrecked there in the sixties, got burried under snow and ice and reappeared now. What will that mean? Wenn it crashed they just got the human remains out and left the wreck there, because they didn't have the eqipment availible to transport the wreck. So the wreck got burried for about 60 years. Conclusion: When the accident happened, there were about the same temperatures and about the same ice mass like this year. The Tsanfleuron-Pass is only at 2850 meters. I'm pretty sure it was several times snow free in the last 2000 years.

We don't know what the cause of those cycles are. Scientists hypothesized about it. The problem now is that scientists and experts are paid to deliver a certain message by very large companies and government who stand to profit from all the money spent that is trillions of dollars spent to supposedly curb the so-called climate crisis of which there is none. EuroNews: `New study shows, one third of glaciers in World Heritage Sites will disappear by 2050` // `It’s hard to comprehend quite how catastrophic the disappearance of the world’s glaciers will be. 50 percent of humanity depends directly and indirectly on these ice giants as their water source for domestic use, agriculture and hydropower.` // Of that 50%, nearly two billion humans directly depend on snowmelt water around the world. When these glaciers and icecaps are gone within the next few decades due to accelerating global warming, we're going to have a climate refugee crisis the likes of which we've never seen. We're nowhere near ready for what's coming.

Like a glass filled with water and ice, it takes a long time for the water to warm up until the ice melts. The ice age keeps Us cool and the temperature outside is warmer than it appears by a lot. If we stop emissions today the current trend and temperature rise will only accelerate as the CO2 in the atmosphere is reactive in the atmosphere for about 900 years. As the Arctic permafrost thaws and collapses, thin layers interlaced between the ice of the permafrost, a glacier covered with organic material Frozen from millennium as in your deep freezer now sitting in the refrigerator decaying as seen in your own vegetable drawer releasing massive amounts of methane previously frozen hydrates erupting into the atmosphere and the Siberian sea boiling from the seabed. Where have all the lobster gone and can humanities survive without lobster? The newborn Krill of Antarctica's pristine waters all have deformed shells from the CO2 and subsequent acidity of ocean waters, after decades and decades of growing oysters in factory settings off of the coast of Oregon using ocean water now is too acidic to farm oysters without adding pH balancing additive, I forgot which one, a heavy expense added. As with a glass of water sitting in the sun, the water remains cool and refreshing until all of most all of the ice is gone. Once the ice disappears, the water gets hot quickly in response to the heat from the Sun. The ice is melting faster causing the temperatures to go up quicker causing the ice to melt faster until the ice is gone. With research going back to 1899 giving warning, and the emergency declaration the emissions must stop now from NASA in 1958, America is using more than it ever has, the main contributor in history, the world has caught up and surpassed. As Europe has invested, is investing, and has cut emissions Americans have discovered fracking continuing an endless increase of energy consumption. Flaring methane is ugly, venting it invisibly only a Flir camera can see the endless leaks throughout the pipeline system and abandoned wells, with operating gas lines such as those serving the community of Washington DC are leaks everywhere of an anciently old system, it only gets metered at the meter and so the leaks don't cost any real money today for the companies as it were to repair the pipelines and so the leaks continue unabated. If we end all emissions tomorrow the methane the melting and disappearing Arctic will continue to erupt as the current temperature curve tightens towards vertical for the next 500 to 900 years. By then I think there will be no recovery for the planet even as it has gone through Extinction events before because this one's different with nuclear waste dotting the planet. As Central America, the American banana republics, are blown into smithereens by the latest record hurricane, how quickly can America build a wall to keep these rapists and murderers, drug dealers in addicts, oh there might be a good one, out of our country keeping America great for Americans. As we drill and drill and drill. I'm optimistic about the future, with everything I've said. And I'm glad I didn't have children to suffer through it with me, now 63 years old. I remember when I was in second grade and saw the smoke that came out of my mother's 1950 Packard and wondered how nature compensated for that and all the other cars in Denver. I looked into the sky in the backyard wondering how deep was the atmosphere and how big of a slice of the pie I was going to consume out of it. I couldn't comprehend how the trees which creates the air I breathe being able to handle the extra load of all the smoke stacks, smog was a big thing back then before catalytic converters which spew additional CO2 into the atmosphere hiding the problem. Why do we have catalytic converters on cars when the spews so much carbon dioxide is beyond my comprehension. Carbon monoxide is an irritating gas that disappears easily and doesn't cause climate change but doesn't allow for additional automotive sales, potential profits for automakers and oil companies that don't believe cigarettes are addicted, GMO Supreme Court patented life is wrong, immoral, or deadly. Too little too late and turning on the coal fired power plants in Europe. Never mind. How to help the refugees and The starving children as the extinction gathers momentum?
