This one reminds me of Shuichi's character. It's proven he's afraid of the truth, so far that he would lie to escape it. This theme protrays that. When you hear this, it's sorrowful, reluctant. Those piano flicks represent Kaede, she played a little role, but is still crucial to V3 (for being Shuichi's guide to the end).

I think people don't appreciate Shuichi enough. I get that the other MC's were good, but Shuichi felt so human. He made connections with everyone during his time between trials, and he still felt compelled to cling to this bond once they were forced to suspect each other, but he also struggled with accepting that he had to be skeptical at times. You can really see his mind and emotions being pulled different directions by Kaito's blind faith and Kokichi's logical doubt. He really stands out to me though by the end, when we actually see him give up temporarily, genuinely question why any of this matters, and finally try to act not really as the good guy, but as his own person. V3 was a damn masterpiece, and I know its hard to accept how it ended, but in my opinion it is unequivocally the best Danganronpa
@TheNitr012 жыл бұрын
Couldn't agree more. Going into V3 I was excited to play as a female protagonist and Kaede felt very different to any other video game character I'd played as in the past. The ending to chapter 1 traumatized me so badly it took me a couple of days to regain my composure, I was just as devastated as Shuichi was. He and I were pretty much on the same page throughout the remainder of the game, even up until the end. I honestly don't think there's any other fictional character that I find nearly as relatable as Shuichi.

I honestly love how different it is compared to Danganronpa 1 and 2, Makoto and Hajime had this sort of loud and bopping music for their "Climax Reasoning". But for Shuichi, he has this calm and collective one with a piano mixed in there to represent Kaede, who was the false protagonist

I just like feel kinda depressed after hearing this. Same. Gonta and Kaede's executions shook me the most. They were irrefutable truths (well, maybe not Kaede's) and there was nothing they could do to stop them from dying. Shuichi just had to accept it. The shock that Gonta experienced, in particular, when he discovered he was the culprit was a good representation of the utter hopelessness and uncomfortable truths depicted in this track, IMO.

That windy-like synth melody is what makes this song a bittersweet piece, like, "This is peace, but for whom?"

Remember being 13 binging this game for a whole weekday and finally letting the built up everything burst as this played during Chapter 4s Closing Argument, I weeped brah, like openly ugh Can't believe that will have been 6 years ago in a few months

!!SPOILERS FOR DRV3 CHAPTER 5!! I finished DRV3 yesterday, and hearing this song makes me feel sad because I remember how much I cried during Kaito's execution. I can't really explain it, but I cried because he was happy he got to see space during his execution. He made a negative situation into a positive one like he always does. And he was stubborn until the very end, and didn't even let monokuma kill him lmao. The song is kinda like... Sad and hopeful? Like it just reminds me of how much hope he had in everyone, and how he BELIEVED in everyone.

For me, this theme screams case 1 and case 4, which makes me legitimately sad every time I listen to this tune.

Case 1 and 4 were extremely sad. Not to mention both killers were executed in a brutal fashion.

for the first case I was just bawling, I was already heartbroken and then having to tell the story from the beginning with this song playing I was in COMPLETE DENIAL, it hurt so so much. I still can't digest it. so unfair, it's been so long since I felt so much regret about someone's crime in this game and this song just gets that sadness through.

Man, the closer I get to the end, the more this song gets me. Like, every time I fill out the comic, I watch how they die and...I end up tearing up and shocked. Especially after the truth is revealed. This song is the epitome of 'beautiful death'.

This game hits different. The other ones have murders that happen and they were all forced to participate. V3 however, did not follow that theme. There will be spoilers beyond this point, so keep scrolling if you do not want to be spoiled. Everyone auditioned for the killing game. They didn't do it against their will. When they were put into the killing game, and given their new personalities without and knowledge of everything being fake, it changed their viewpoint on the killing game. I think that when they were able to leave, they kept their old personalities with them, and since they didn't remember it was fake, they actually died. They would've had to have been aware of this risk before auditioning, and this shows how empty they were, how egotistical, or how confident they were. Kaede had no faith in the world. Shuichi said he wanted to be executed, in a way he is asking to die. Kaito just wanted to survive so he could get famous and never have to try. All of the other games kept their personalities the same, just without their memories. They all chose to participate in a game that would make them famous, but they all knew they could never come back to the real world again. With this in mind, the only survivors are Maki, Himiko and Shuichi. But even they didn't survive. Technically, V3 is the only Danganronpa game with no survivors. And they all knew they could die at any moment.

This one is just so nice and relaxing, it's just perfect background music while doing something and it's perfect foreground music to just sit and listen to. I don't know what it is about it, it's just so nice. Jamming out to this every time pretty much when doing this minigame

I'll never get over how this song has a completely different feel from the previous Closing Argument theme, this is a really sad song, it's a theme of tragedy, instead of being a victorious win against the killer this song makes you feel like you're finally bringing close the suffering that everyone went through to get to this point, a final goodbye to the victims and the killer.

this piece is just, so moving after playing the game. I have repeatedly listened to it during my playthru of the game and experienced so many different emotions from it, and its hands down my favorite song from the game. It just, oozes passion in my opinion. I hear it and I think of completing the Kokichi or Kaede trial, knowing my favorite characters are meeting their end, or already have. It makes me just relax after the few hours of tense suspense and stress I was just through and really gives me time to take a step back from the trial. No execution, no despair, just memento.
