I tried them six months or so but it was a no go for me. I found them to not fit nicely with my Shimano brake reservoir on the handlebar. Biggest downside was how easily it rotated when climbing while gripping them. I was constantly fiddling around while riding trying to get it back to the right spot after it moved. I found them to be too much of a distraction so I no longer use them. It may work for others but for me it wasnt worth getting a different brake system that fits well with TOGS and that constant rotating on littlest amount of pressure was very distracting.

Thanks for your feedback on them. Yea mine fit fine with my brakes, but they did distract me and I crashed once haha. So fatbike yes. But i worry a little about on my mtb with jumps and tech... Keep shredding!!

I rarely put my hands on top of the grip now, cus my new bike actually fits, and the bars are higher than on my previous bike. I use the Yoann Barelli cockpit setup, Nicolai/Geoemtron G1 has reach of 515mm I am 181cm, I have saddle tip above bb, use Catalyst pedals with mid foot position. that cockpit setup can only be run with long enough reach, my arms are not abused anymore.

Interesting. Did you get a bike fit?
@mtbboy1993
@mtbboy1993 4 жыл бұрын
@@RideLabs no, I did it myself, by measuring my old bike I calculated the reach needed, of course not super precise but, I knew I could fit this bike. And I was right.

@@RideLabs most bike fitters are are probably doing it wrong, by outdated geo, you need proper reach, trying to solve short reach, fit, geo, with bike fitter won't work, wasted money I can do amjch better job without spending alot of money.

Might try this out since a had a crash a couple of weeks ago because somehow my hand slipped on my handlebar because I was resting my thumb on it and my hand was sweaty. Thumb fatigue is really uncomfortable in long rides.

These would help on long rides for sure.

This is interesting. Be nice to try this and see how it works with my joints. It looks like it would be comfortable. Do you think it would work on the top bar on a road bike? Think it could be worked around up the bar and clamped onto the top? Edit:I remember the bar ends. I still have a pair from my old hardtail. They helped a lot, back in the day.

Yea, check out their website, they have a specific kind for a road bike. I think that it would help.

Why do a lot of mtb riders where non protective gloves , then they complain when they hurt there hands in a fall , I where full protective glove but still give me good feeling of my bars , but my gloves are for motorcycles.

Thanks for the video. How wide is your handlebar? Also, did you have to move inwards your brake levers to compensate for the width of the TOGS?
@RideLabs

Mine are 760mm, i didn't have to move anything.

I actually hate how bar ends went out of style, it's sooo much easier to climb a hill with bar ends on

I was a little sad that my brand new short bar ends went obsolete so fast haha. But these togs do help
