Cards are always changing…as to which is best, it’s so personal. The sapphire reserve covers a lot of bases if you are going to travel & get a good sign up bonus

Flying on many delta flights where there are empty seats in comfort and first shows how little Delta really cares about making sure their loyal customers are upgraded. They are more focused on leaving early. SMH

I never see this much. I’ve seen empty seats and the flight attendant with upgrade people based on status

Some companies who have employees that travel a lot have a partnership with Delta where they gift employees Gold Medallion... Crazy I know.

Well, employees who travel a lot probably would qualify for status regardless. But Delta does occasionally give status to executives of corporations (who might travel less) which have big contracts with them.

At higher levels you can gift status. I believe diamond can gift either gold or silver status as one of their yearly perks on delta

In Europe we don't have the MQDs yet. The cheaper fare classes with partner airlines give often 100% MQMs which makes it interesting with Delta.

I am Gold and we actually do get waived same day change fees like Plats and Diamonds, but great video overall! I usually get upgraded to C+ and occasionally F but there have been times where I have gotten neither on especially SLC-ATL and vice versa since those are highly trafficked by high status people.

With the new changes to United’s Milage Plus program, which airline would you chose to focus your points on if you had to start over?

Delta then American. United is the least beneficial in my opinion. it also depends on your home airport and which airline provides the most flights to places you actually want to go

Being in Atlanta, delta is the only practical choice, though they do tons of fare sales from every other city! Lots of peoole tell me southwest is a good option but don’t know from experience because locked into keeping delta status (mainly for same day changes etc)

It rolls over so if you’re say silver at beginning of the year, you can catch up to gold, platinum, diamond as the year goes on

No

Yes, they do. Delta has a status match program which grants you status for three months in which you have to complete a certain amount of flying (different for each level) to extend your status. Do note though, that platinum pro and higher are only matched to Delta platinum and not diamond.
