14 Peaks was phenomenal. To think they were carrying their own kit including camera gear and I assume drones from the aerial footage. Mad props!

I believe the drone footage was taken by two guys who are sons of Sherpas and who said they’d film them not at the top but the first levels. Then all the rest was done by the original team- amazing indeed !!!!!!

This guy is the definition of badass. A Gurka, a member of the Special Boat Service and turned down a rare invite to the Special Air Service to go and conquer mountains at the age of 29 years old. And didnt just climb the biggest 14 mountains on earth in just over 6 months, he destroyed all previous records. Oh and hes the only climber to get up to K2 in the dead of winter. At first, I said to myself, oh no another mountain climbing doc. #20,003. But I was wrong, this one was worth watching & hard to believe Nims & his team could do this feat. I don't recall any significant coverage by the media giants in 2019. He is right if the climbing team were Europeans or Amer's the story would have been bigger then.
@Cyfkycdrycvkb3 жыл бұрын
Yea the story is big now because of the movie. But I don't remember any mention of this back in 2019.
@CoolnCarin52413 жыл бұрын
@@Cyfkycdrycvkb like he said, the story would have been big "only if it was an American orr a European" cos you know, when it comes to taking hard physical pain and gruelling conditions, nobody can beat Asians and it's because of that fact and knowledge, humas o'r world or you me or them have become de-sensitized. But this could be a vast generalization, as an average American o'r European at least social standing wise o'r in terms of mass media are "higher" o'r more far reaching?? I mean this is just one of many examples. During WW2 or even WW1 Millions upon million took part esepcially Asians (north to south and east to west) but we rarely ever see documentaries honouring their sacrifices and contribution. Yeah, that's the kind of world we live in.
