Good climb Luke. In the future if you do more collab hikes, you might contact Jeff over at trek planner. He’s been mentioning about wanting to do some collaboration hikes. I think the two of you would make a good team. He was the one who did a shout out about your channel and that’s how I came to find you.

Yes, I do hope to do a collab with him! I love watching his videos. Thank you!

Thank you! Yes, the weather is nice for hiking here, but it had not rained\snowed for about 5 months, so all the plants are drying up.

Thank you both for another video with glorious colors, fantastic formations and interesting climbs! Even if I were more fit, I would NOT walk that narrow part to the "island" - Whoa! Too scary!

Yeah, that was scary but fun! Thank you!

I agree - amazing views and ruins with very skillfully stacked rocks. So when it said peak 5598 - was that its identification or how many summits you have reached? You've accomplished alot if thats your peak count
@ruinsandridges16 сағат бұрын
Yes, the views and ruins were unreal! Peak 5598 is the official name of this peak as the elevation is 5598 feet. Unofficially named or unnamed peaks are called by there elevation. Thank you!

I was an archeologist in Flagstaff working for Dr. Weaver all over the area. The senor regional archaeologists wouldn't tell us where any of these sites were. I'm literally shocked when I see the videos and check the sites out on GEarth. I wish I had known, it would have modified some of my culture history ideas. Defense or winter sun? What do you think?
@ruinsandridges13 сағат бұрын
Very interesting. Some hilltop sites can be be seen from GE but most cliff dwellings you just have to climb to. I think many hikers just stumble upon them while exploring the canyons. The sites are sacred to multiple local tribes. The small ruin on the top seems like a lookout or a ritual site maybe, it seems to happen a lot, where they had cliff dwellings and then another site on the top.
