Just for perspective; you getting 4 m (of crack put up in an international competition) in 10 years, that is approximately twice as fast moving as the techtonic plates of continental crust move away from each other in the spots, were they move the fastest. So in a couple of millions of years you will have gone far 👍👍👍 Keep up the good work, the idea of crack climbing in competitions will grow!

a couple of months ago I went on my first outdoor climbing holiday with some friends at Portland on the south coast and I had never crack climbed before but definatly my favourite part was there being a really nice crack for half the rought and just jamming my way up. I am now a crack fiend

Pete my guy; you might wanna get someone to help you set up your microphone proper. It's a bit crackly and it's balanced with too much low notes so it sounds like you are in a wall. Which kinda fits with this channel, but not sure if its your aim.

Am I right in thinking that when you're belaying Tom around the 18:00 mark that a single rope, carabiner and bolt is holding the weight of both of you when he drops....?

No - all of the belaying spots on the dam have a chain bolted to the wall near them and it looked like the belayer clips their harness into it, separately from the lead rope which also gets put into a clip on a different part of the chain. There are also multiple clips in between Tom and Pete at that timestamp. Only one rope between Tom & Pete though (not counting the gear rope).
