thats correct, not specifically in this meseta, where angel falls are located which is called Auyantepuy, it was in another one further east close to the venezuelan border with Guyana called Kukenan or Matawi Tepui given its indigenous name, check out @caribeorinoco on IG, they post some interesting content about these table top mountains. cheers

Angel Falls got its name from Jimmy Angel, who crashed his plane on the tabletop mountain, or tepui. The local indians name for the mountain is Auyan Tepui, which ironically means Devil's Mountain. In the Bible, the Devil is a fallen angel (Lucifer)... A case of life intertwining myth...... As for me, I was born less than 100 miles from Angel Falls, in the small, ol mining town of El Pao, Edo. Bolivar, about an hour's drive south of Puerto Ordaz. To my chagrin, we moved away when I was a child so I never got the opportunity to visit the falls, though my half sister has. It is my dream to return to my native Venezuela to make a pilgrimage to this beautiful place. Maybe I can return my mother's ashes there....
