Climbing BROMO 🇮🇩 (7th Most Active Volcano in Indonesia)

I finally made it to the top of Bromo! This was easily one of the most requested and recommend places from you guys for me to check out. It did not disappoint. I was picked up by my driver at 3:00, long before sunrise, and headed to the first viewing point across from the crater of Bromo. After sunrise, we went down back into the clouds and closer to the crater. From there I went walking over the volcanic black sands toward the crater. If you don't want to walk you can always hitch a ride on one of the horses. Maybe I should have because my legs were hurting pretty bad after I finished. From the top, you get to look right into the eye of the volcano. It's pretty crazy! The ferocious sound bellowing out of the volcano is the most notable thing, you can really feel and hear the power of this volcano. Makes you wonder if it's even safe to be that close. Bromo is said to be the 7th most active volcano in Indonesia, very reassuring! But everything went smoothly and it was a wonderful experience.

Akhirnya saya berhasil mencapai puncak Bromo! Ini adalah salah satu tempat yang paling banyak diminta dan direkomendasikan dari kalian untuk saya kunjungi. Itu tidak mengecewakan. Saya dijemput oleh sopir saya pada pukul 03.00, jauh sebelum matahari terbit, dan menuju ke view point pertama di seberang kawah Bromo. Setelah matahari terbit, kami turun kembali ke awan dan lebih dekat ke kawah. Dari sana saya berjalan di atas pasir hitam vulkanik menuju kawah. Jika Anda tidak ingin berjalan, Anda selalu dapat menumpang salah satu kuda. Mungkin saya harus melakukannya karena kaki saya sangat sakit setelah saya selesai. Dari atas, Anda bisa melihat langsung ke mata gunung berapi. Ini cukup gila! Suara ganas yang keluar dari gunung berapi adalah hal yang paling menonjol, Anda benar-benar dapat merasakan dan mendengar kekuatan gunung berapi ini. Membuat Anda bertanya-tanya apakah aman untuk berada sedekat itu. Bromo dikatakan sebagai gunung berapi paling aktif ke-7 di Indonesia, sangat menentramkan! Tapi semuanya berjalan lancar dan itu adalah pengalaman yang luar biasa.

Ngadas is a somewhat overlooked village in the Bromo ring of tourist villages. My wife n I had some lunch at that headmans house in 2013. Prob the most prosperous one there. Pity we didn't stay overnight. The toilet was untiled and was only a squatter. They helped us with transport back to Malang. A truck carrying rocks! I live in Singapore and made 12 trips to Bromo, some trekking and others with a mountain bike. Great video, thanks Nick!

You are right, but now Ngadas is far more accomodating and the people still keep their their traditional way of life. You should spend some days in Ngadas and experience it all.

@@NotInARush I did not stay at the house Nick stayed but another place in the middle of Ngadas main street. Another time also on the bypass road hillside where there was a bakso restaurant. Beautiful views of Semeru in the morning.

I miss Ibnu. I always get excited everytime you mentioned him. Drinking Energen for breakfast is such an Indonesian thing to do. My mom used to make me Energen everytime I had no time to eat breakfast because I was about to late to go to school. You can say it's like an emergency breakfast too

Indonesia has many beautiful place to visit. Perhaps the drawback is the it can become overcrowded. Regarding your knees , you need to stretch them out and if you have glucosamine , they could help ease the joints

lol last time i went there in 2014, the mount erupted...alram ringing and people evacuated to the desert below, me, clueless, saw the crater,lik "whats goin on?" then a colorless sulfuric winds goes into my face, me wriggling on the ground and must goes back with that stair blindly bahaha...eye severely irritated,can't even see lol...good choice u use sunglasses there mate, wanna go there again for sure, it is stunning

Reminds me of my 2 hours trip to Bromo with my friends riding matic motorcycle from Malang on rain season, what can be worse?
