I passed through there in the late 70's during the peak in August. Several people were climbing on their hands and knees as repentance. The concession stands were everywhere. I seem to recall some 'Boyo' selling strips of fabric from St Paddy's cloth. A shilling I think he wanted and we responded much the same as those sheep did...

I’m glad I wasnt there a few weeks later… it was ‘busy’, but not the 30k. It’s a great view
