Congratulations to both successfull climb, birthday and engagement🎉🎉🎉. I am getting nervous I am doing 8day Lemosho with a friend, we both from Sydney Australia, with Climb Kili Sept 7th. Hey did u guys use ur own hiking poles or hired and which brand?

Cheers :) That's super exciting and will be an incredible experience for you. We absolutely loved the trek and the overall atmosphere on the way up. We have our own poles, which are the (Black Diamond Distance Carbon FLZ Trekking Poles - 140 cm) We've had them for a few years now and find them to be great. I would definitely recommend using poles either hiring them or buying them as you will find them very helpful on the trek.

Im doing Kilimanjaro next year. Just wondering how you kept everything charged up? I will only need my phone for pictures

Hey Danny, I used the Anker 737 PowerCore battery bank on this trip. I also used the Solar Panel, Anker 21W 2-Port USB Portable Solar Charger with Foldable Panels to charge the battery bank. I just had this strapped on the outside of my bag during the day whilst hiking and it charged a treat 👌 Enjoy the trip.

Did you find you used your dslr camera on the mountain, or was it too bulky?

I used it during the whole trip. I don’t find it bulky as I’m used to hiking with it. I find it much easier with the peak design capture clip 👌
