Climbing MOUNT KINABALU | 3rd Highest Island Peak In the WORLD | Borneo, Malaysia 🇲🇾

Mount Kinabalu of Borneo is the third highest peak of any Island in the world. Highest point in Borneo, Malaysia and South East Asia (Outside of Myanmar and Papua). I took on the 2 day ascent to get another mountain on the books and test myself at 4000m.

Some facts about Mount Kinabalu,, it's the world's tallest granite mountain on island, the tallest summit is actually the Victoria Peak (estimated height of 4,1++m) instead of it's famous peak to the public, the Low's Peak

Hey! Me and my partner are wanting to do this hopefully we can book last minute like you guys did! We also don’t want to book through a agent if we manage to book a night sleep up the mountain does that mean we will defiantly be able to book and pay for the rest on the day, just bit worries about turning up and no guide being free

Hey, enjoy! I was worried about this as well but it was absolutely fine - you can always call / email that company in advance regarding guides but it really seemed like it wasn’t a concern for them. I would stay in a local guesthouse and pop in the day before though and check in

No proof of competency was required if that’s what you mean. It’s a super easy mountain and if you can’t keep going you just go back down

There is only one company mate. You book the accommodation in the link in description and turn up the day before to get your pass, then in the morning are assigned a guide
