Climbing Mount Kinabalu- the comprehensive guide of the whole hiking trail

As an average amateur hiker who had never tackled strenuous hikes at high altitudes, I never thought climbing Mount Kinabalu and reaching the summit was possible.
Here is the story of my climb, a test of my perseverance, endurance, and triumph.
Although I am healthy in my 60s, climbing one of the highest peaks in South East Asia is still daunting. However, I was committed to pushing to the limits with my brother, who is in his 70s!

Congratulations! I know the feeling. Been there 6 times before. Most hikers I met returned for the second time with their friends and loved ones. Mountain aside, its also the Kadazan Dusun people that are friendly. There's also Trus Madi and Tambuyukon mountains closeby

In south east asia, highest peak is in myanmar china border but i am unsure if that is within himalaya range. However, mount kinabalu is the 3rd highest island peak in the world.

Thanks for sharing guys. 👍 what would you say to do to improve the sleep you had at the half way point. I noticed that website says don't bring sleeping bag. Was it the cold that kept you up?

It's not very cold and there is blanket provided. We did not bring sleeping bag and was fine.
