A great film - as someone who has been in the biz for over 25 years for the likes of the BBC natural history departments your work is exceptional - we are very lucky here on KZbin to have you and hope that everyone that watches your films supports you, and at least watches the commercials so that your work can be financially supported thereafter... It is a lot of time you invest for us all !!!

Abbie I must say I’m thoroughly impressed (and a bit jealous). The photography and editing of this film is top notch. You seem like a very humble and appreciative person. Your awe at the spectacle of the natural world is infectious. And your willingness to share your adventures with those who cannot experience them firsthand says a lot about your spirit. Thank you Abbie.

Thanks, again, Abbie... watching this update I was reminded that at the same time you were experiencing the Atlas... my pal John and I were hiking an inverted mountain in Arizona, the Grand Canyon. We did our hike down to Phantom Ranch, via the South Kaibab Trail. It was snowing at the start and warm and sunny at the end. We hung out a day at the ranch doing some river side trails, then hiked up the Bright Angel Trail on the third day, back to the rim, over frozen snow and lots of slippy ice. Crampons, and occasional rays of sunshine, kept us alive! It was glorious!

Abbie, just watched your video and it was excellent. I enjoy the video diary approach and your use of the selfie stick made it look as those you had your own camera assistant filming you. Your narraration is top notch and does inspire others to try out wild adventures themselves. I have done this trek in 2007 and more recent in 2016 with Hasan and I agree he was a great guide. I have documented my Morrocon treks although haven't used a selfie stick but probably will on future ones. - if you want to take a peak just type Peaks and Troughs of the Moroccan Atlas Phil Burrows. Thanks again for showing your vids - I have watched most of yours. Atb, Phil

Really love your work Abbie. Well shot, edited and voiced. I particularly like the fact it appears to be about the experience with you in it, rather than about you with the experience in it. This is how I want to do my stuff. Theres too many travel vlogs that have me peering over peoples mugs in frustration and screaming ‘I want to see the place, not you!’. No offence, I hope you know what I mean.

Very cool Abbie! Certainly inspired me! I've skied all my life, time to find another way of appreciating those little rocky humps :-) - Booking Toubkal for may next year and Kili for the end of the year. Love you national trails videos too! 2 questions, 1) what size day pack did you take? Was it ok as a carry on bag? 2) how were exodus?
@AbbieBarnesWILD6 жыл бұрын
Thats so great! Thanks for checking out the film. My day pack was my beloved Osprey Talon, 33l. Carry on I used the main bag supplied by Exodus as this helps them keep an eye on it when it is loaded onto mules etc as they are quite distinctive. You get to keep the pack which is cool as well. I cannot recommend Exodus enough. They were smooth, transparent and really so great to work with. Let me know how you get on!
