Climbed S Sister twice. Best hike in the World! The unique wildflowers are like Dr Seuss character inspirations. Camped halfway up at Moraine Lake, an oligotrophic masterpiece! Perfect skinny dipping spot :-) Greetings and blessings from Texas to all Oregonians

I and my 3 and 5 year old children climbed the South Sister in the early fall and spent a few days camping at the top. There's plenty of good camping places along the narrow outer ring and most of the center is snow, with a small lake in the snow. There's plenty of fresh water from snow melt.

How long was the entire hike? Sounds like you started hiking around 5am? When did you summit?

we hiked in from Mckinzie pass northside of north sister to Mt Bachler PCT
