I'm late to your channel but glad I found it. Looking forward to your Everest video. Of all the mountains you've climbed so far, Mt Vincent surprised me the most. Looked wonderful, beautiful and I'd love to experience it for myself.

I climbed Aconcagua 22 years ago and all the major camps were not as big, 4G…lol. Camp 4 was cyclonic winds and -25 C. All our cameras and any battery operated device would freeze unless inside full down jkt.

Thanks and good luck in your next adventures, very informative video. I have a question : Did you have an acclimatation program before since you climbed the mountain in only 1O days?
@kingnemesis6312 жыл бұрын
Turns out that there are actually 9 summits in the seven summits. I’ve heard that you are doing Everest and Denali. But there is also Blanc and Kosciuszko to climb. But I’m pretty sure they are optional idk, if I were to ever do them I would probably start with the shorter ones like you did then go up to the tallest ones.

Congratulations!! What was the approximate cost for Aconcagua?
@janandksenia56343 жыл бұрын
Thanks. It strongly depends on how you. Unguided you’ll need permits only(~1000usd); if option for a guided trip it depends heavily of using a local or non local operator. Local operators start from below 5000usd

Congrats summitting. I have a question for Jan. What model was your Arcteryx jacket? I'm guessing Beta LT by the color. Did it work well for you and if you were doing the same thing again would you take that jacket? I'm in the market for a new jacket so I would like to hear your review of that.
@janandksenia56343 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul! I think it’s a great jacket, if remember correctly it’s a Beta AR. I’ve been wearing it “non stop” for over 5 years. Recently I had to replace it and changed to the Alpha series because it has an even better waterproofing hat. Anyhow, both options are great and durable.

Jan and Ksenia thank you for your wonderful video! Can you tell me in your experience which one was physically the hardest, Aconcagua or Kilimanjaro? I did the Kilimanjaro last year and this year Im doing Aconcagua.
@janandksenia56343 жыл бұрын
Richie, Without doubt Aconcagua is much tougher then Kilimanjaro. Yes both mountains are technically not difficult, but that’s where the comparison stop. Due to the extra elevation Aconcagua is much colder, higher impact of elevation(high camp is above Kili summit!). Anyhow get fit and well prepared, it’s a great experience. All the best!

@@janandksenia5634 Super thanks guys! appreciated! And pls, don't do Everest! Not worth it! Stay alive! Bye!
@TheMan-ij9li3 жыл бұрын
Hey! I have a trip coming up to climb Aconcagua myself and one concern I’ve had is that I hear they have medical checks along the way and the doctors can stop you from climbing. I am in incredibly good shape and have experience climbing at high altitude however I have a blood pressure that consistently sits slightly higher than normal is this something that I should be concerned about? Or are they not that strict and I’m over thinking it?
@janandksenia56343 жыл бұрын
Hey! You’re definitely overthinking this. I’m my opinion it’s great that they have these medical facilities. As long as you’re in good physical condition that moment it’s shouldn’t be a concern, while if you somehow would need medical support you’ll be glad it’s there.
