Climbing Up the Walls - Radiohead (Acoustic Cover)

Climbing Up the Walls acoustic cover by Radiohead, pulled from their 1997 album “OK Computer”. Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Philip Selway, Ed O’Brian and Colin Greenwood are the geniuses behind this band. What can I say about Radiohead? They’re one of the greatest bands of all time.
About 80% of OK Computer was recorded live, you can really hear the warmth and reverb found with live recordings on this album. The talent needed to pull off such intricate songs with their multiple arrangements live is just extraordinary. Some of my other favorite songs on this album are "Electroneering", "Paranoid Android" and "Airbag".
Climbing Up the Walls has a great percussion track, I wanted to include percussion in this song because I feel like it’s such a prominent part of the original. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy it, this has been one of my favorite covers to make so far.

(offer as a fan:) This was nice but I think the arrangement was lacking. Felt flat in that the dynamics and drama of the song, attitude of the vocals and guitars, weren't acknowledged or subbed for. Simply, your style is very clean and chill, and this song demands angst and messy noise! 🖤

After the first time hearing this, I thought the same: that she sounded flat. But it absolutely works with the way she played the song. Her cover doesn't need more angst. She produced more of a "defeated" or "I give up" type vibe to the song. The "flat" in her singing only adds to the theme that's she's created. It's an acoustic cover, and what she did with the electric guitar towards the end adds a sense of eeriness/uneasiness to her version. Instead of angst, she kept it dark and slow. A cover isn't meant to be an exact clone of the original. She remade the song the way it vibed with her. its a creative twist and it works. Also... if she shaved her head, I think she'd look like prettier Steve-O.
