why not put a carabiner into the harness and tie a figure 8 and just put the loop into the carabiner?

I'd probably skip the safety knot and just tie the knot without a giant tail, otherwise, good video.

maybe you should update the video's because the climbing standards have changed in the last couple of years.it is better not to tie off your figure eight. and don't use so much rope. at max 10-20cm spare rope.
