"from the wall to the sky" when clipping. and preferably when placing the gear, "the spine towards the climb."

I see a lot of people say never to pass your fingers inside the gate. Does the clipping method using the middle finger to stabilize while pinching the rope between index and thumb follow this rule? is it safe?

How come the last technique is safe, despite your finger going inside the carabiner? Is it because you don't go through the actual clip/gate?

Because your finger tip is just "hanging" on the edge of the carabiner a fall would just slip your finger off the edge. It would be dangerous to use your whole finger to somehow stabilize the carabiner (i.e. put it in the middle of your middle finger). Using just the edge of your finger is fine and in almost every situation, it'll slip off the edge of the carabiner. Hope that helps

Any Knot that will hold you(when tying in)? Its Highly unlikely that you would disconnect from a carabiner if you are back clipping or z clipping? Bad Info there.
