Can I do the Clinical Audit in my home country before my PLAB? Can the supervisor be a senior doctor and not a consultant working as Clinical manager in the Hospital?

thanks a lot. in my hospital, i have noticed couple of problems like, long waiting time in opd for patients, delay in getting blood reports in ward, delay in getting radiology reports can an audit be done for the above problems?

It would really be appreciated if you could clear some of my doubts :- 1.As a medical intern, do we need to have a official guide to carry out an audit? 2. Is there a minimum limit on the no. Of patients we are collecting data of? (Eg. Atleast 50 patient sample) 3. If i want to do a clinical audit regarding some topic that has previously been done in some other institute , is it valid or it won't be accepted. 4. After ethical comittee gives clearance to my proposal and after completion of the audit , where are we supposed to submit the data to? 5. Finally, my medical UG college doesnot have a Audit department but PSM dept is there... So does that mean I cannot do this audit??

Can the same be done in India while doing a job as junior resident with the help of the consultants ? What proof is required to show that we did it in our home country.. a certificate at the end? As there is no hospital here where audits are done! Or the whole data should be maintained as a proof?
